A large number of machines are film themed to tie in with a recent release which requires licence costs. I would like to see more original ideas that don't lose money to a 3rd party like that but also create a unique new game.
I would like to see a "Build a pinball machine".
When you press the start button, all the playfield object sink below the table or get covered up. You then have very few targets or loops to make to slowly add them back, they will remain for the 3 balls so eventually you can have an awesome table and score big points. Don't ask me how they could do it, I only come up with the genius ideas. It would be non-licenced so the can save that money to make it work.
SMASH, almost the reverse of the above. You start off with everything working and so many hits breaks it (bit like for real). But I don't want MM fake castle falling over comedy, I want things to appear to break, cracks appear, holes appear in ramps, targets go at funny angles but without the crazy air-balls. This theme would stop short of fire as I am not an impractical man, plus it has to be able to repair itself before the next game. If the play field could appear to crack with splinter noises then that would be fantastic.
Cannon Ball, a series of shots opens up ever increasing gaps between steeper ramps until eventually you fire the ball into a boat that sinks for the jackpot or something.
