Most likely the motor is working but the gearbox will have a few teeth missing in it !!

Thank you for all the help here guys - I’ve had the neon bulb replaced & refitted and it still didn’t run. I checked the board in the backbox, fuse ‘F6’ was out. Check the manual - F6 runs the motor… replaced the fuse and the ramps working again! Wah-hay!
I have since had it explained by greater electrical minds than mine @Moonraker that the surge protector deals with a static charge built up in the motor, so as that went it could have caused the fuse to blow. Happy to have it all fixed.
