OK - so some of us hoard games seemingly forever, some flip them in and out almost weekly, some only sell when space demands it , or some other pesky real life stuff :rolleyes:

We all know we would probably sell if offered insane money on a title BUT ignoring that ..... if it came down to it WHICH machine(s) would be the last to leave ? And why ?

For me ....

Tommy - my first machine, I loved it on site when it first came out and vowed one day to own one, in 2003 that finally happened .... it's in great shape and it will go to the grave with me :cool:

White Water - my 2nd WH20, I just love love love the game - the theme, the unique layout, Bigfoot !

Funny isn't it. I've got mates who are self employed who look at all of their possessions as collateral. If needs must, they're gone, not a tear to be shed.

I can't imagine doing that. I get too attached to possessions. The wheel would seriously have to fall off for me to sell up.
 
I've not yet poured my heart and soul into restoring any pin yet but my Tales From the Crypt although not rare or mint I'd really, really not want to part with.
If I owned a mint Fathom I'd give up a kidney first I think.

My Dragon's Lair would be the last video to go. A machine I wanted since 84.

None of my stuff has a quick turn around (it's all too bloody heavy!) My stuff I keep for years!
 
Last to go: Terminator 2, first real machine I ever played. Found one I think around 3 years after vowing to get one for myself. Just can't let go of her for sentimental reasons really. Great gameplay, easy rules and brilliant theme.

Second To Last: Lord of the Rings, this one would go at the right offer and it's my one expensive game but its worth every penny. Deep rules, again a great theme and so much going on it feels more like a journey than playing a game. Found a very nice non-skill post example (Supposedly bought direct from Pinball Heaven new and been home use ever since by an avid fan of the films, certainly looks it to me) and apart from a short period where I've let her go away on loan I'd have to be given a very good price for her to move it on permanently, or if I suddenly needed a good wad of cash quickly.
 
AFM.

Only game I have ever bought twice. And now have total original one.

And only game out of around 50 owned ( in and out over last 10 years ) that the family actually enjoys!!

Ruleset is timeless in that a total beginner gets it and enjoys it and Rule the Universe is anything but easy and I haven't got close yet:oops:
 
No attachment to any of them. From a purely playability viewpoint I would say Spider-Man would be last to go but I have learnt my lesson about hanging onto games too long. It nearly killed my interest in the hobby.
Never again. Buy, play, sell. Rinse and repeat.
 
Only ever owned one machine TAF so obviously that. Will get more once I have space to put them but TAF was my childhood game of choice, still love it and named my business after it so I would say it's a keeper. Yearning for a TWD though.
 
My LW3 is my first machine so I've got a soft spot for that. It's out at my mates house though, so I've sort of let it go and kept it at the same time.

I do tend to play one machine more than any other at any one time. It's LOTR at the minute but 2 months ago it was TAF constantly. So at the minute LOTR is the one that will outstay any others but in 2 Months, who knows.

So far I've never got rid of any, but I'm out of space (currently at 10, with space for 6 :hmm: ) so somethings got to go soon. I think the kids will ultimately decide which one is the first to go, it was going to be Star wars trilogy but that is now max's favourite so I'm not allowed to get rid of that at the minute.
 
Last to leave is easy, Addams Family as it's my favourite pinball machine ever :thumbs:

2nd to last is a bit trickier :hmm: It could be Fathom or Flash Gordon or Banzai Run.....hmmmm can I just keep 4? :D
 
my BSD ,bought from the proper pinball paradise 17 years ago, my first pin, picture it, 1992 walking around the arcades in blackpool ,a van stops on the pavement and he wheels out a brand new BSD ,waited for him to set it up and I was the first to play it, thinking one day I would like to own a pinball machine:thumbs:
 
I tell people Centaur would be the last game to leave but I have a Fathom project ( never played 1) and a Nascar ( no room to set up so i've never played it) Dammed space/time issues!!
 
Definitely TAF. Never thought one day I would actually own one.Me and a mate used to hit the arcades in Redcar on a Sunday morning after the night before pi$$ up and spend a fortune on it back when it got released.Great times..
 
TAF, unless it's for a nicer TAF. Having bought my first for £900 I'm not sure I could stomach shelling out £3500-4000 for another one :confused:
 
If I had to sell all but one for space issues tafg would be the last. If I had to sell all but one for the money Whodunit would stay, yes really!
 
When I brought mine it was crazy money, clear coated mint playfield, new ramps and plastic set and metalwork gold plated with the original plac and certificate , the only machine I didn't tell Jaki what it really cost, £3500! Seems crazy now but at the time it was like paying £10k for one now.

The one I bought off eBay was just up the road from me. He had it listed as 'Adams Family Ponball' or something like that so the auction finished at £2800 :D
