The eBay Auctions / Facebook / Gumtree / Shpock 2024 thread

I've bought the bowling queen, am collecting it wednesday, he's put the price up to stop others buying it while protecting the 80% off listing fees in case I don't show up... Which obviously I am showing up 😂

Everyone's speculation on here makes me laugh, just chill it's only pinball
Well done, take a look at his other machines when you go. He had a few nice ones when I went to his place a few years or so back. Shout if you need help on the cab artwork as I've got one in stock to copy if need be.

Appreciate that, will definitely be looking at restoring the cab 👍🏻👍🏻

Congrats mate  We both have new Gottlieb EM projects to play with :excited

Aiq premium for $4700 that's around £3800! Might move to America if prices are like that...

There’s been a few well priced projects put up by them , in Czech, no idea if legitimate or chancers

Seen them listing for a few years, its hard to see that being an economical restore, but if anyone is feeling brave enough I have a set of decals (not the best quality) the buyer could have for nothing.

Thought I'd be cheeky and I just had a message exchanged with the seller of the "bestlowpriceworld" machines listed on ebay.

  • Apparently, they are "specialist" pinball dealers - with the name Torreto Motorsport.
  • They will not negotiate on price as they are "good" machines (with free rust)
  • Whirlwind is water-damaged - and does not include anything not shown in the pictures. So no speaker panel. Decals lifting and a delaminating side panel.
  • Machines shown not working in the pictures "have not been tested in any way". I clarified they have not been switched on which is probably a good and bad thing.
  • 1812 does not include translite/backglass, missing bottom speaker.

The 1812 looks terrible. The SFII is so rusty I think it will turn to dust once moved. I would say each machine is going to need upwards of £600 in parts,, from replacing the PF through to new ramps and plastics, and then labour if you cost that out.

Good luck to anyone taking a punt on any of that.

Shame they won't take offers, around £1800 just to get it to the UK, then £600 and a tonne of work, for a game which even as a minter might struggle to fetch £3k

Out of interest, what would a reasonable condition fully working 1812 go for do people think? This is listed at £1299 + £200 = £1499, wouldn't that be about right for a fully working version these days?

Some people really like 1812 I think, nice worker might be a bit more than 1.5k, not by enough to make the ebay one viable tho, think VAT would be charged on top too.

Reasonable about £1,250 I'd have thought. Nicer one £1,500 upwards I'd have said, yeah. There's not too much love for the late Gottliebs but 1812 is one of the best late ones. Not many in circulation though. The one on eBay if I'd have paid £500 I'd have felt done, that machines got nothing going for it, knackered and too much missing.

Reckon you'd get a pin in one of these if you took the woodwork out. Elvira on tour!

I bought my jackbot from them years ago, it did eventually arrive but I was worried for a few months that I'd been scammed, not the best folk to deal with and they accused me of scamming them when I told them I hadn't received it (they sent it to wrong address) but at least the game eventually arrived
