Looking good.... another TAF brought back to life...

What about the 'broken' bits at the top of the mansion rooms? Mine has a couple of these. Can they be touched up/fixed?

I always think touch ups look worse and normally stand out more than just leaving it

Ok been a busy afternoon I am lucky that I have 3 tafs all at different stages of restoration so I just pinched all the hardware from another one that had already been through the tumbler to save time

Next job fit all the posts new star posts and a set of comet LEDs

And then all the steel on and re rubber and that's it I am done for today

Ok day 3 next job is on the underside re build all the mechs and service them

Right so that's all the pop bumpers stripped cleaned and serviced with new coil sleeves

Also all the other mech been stripped cleaned and new coil sleeves again I had all the new clean parts ready to go makes it much quicker

Both the chair and swamp kick out coils where in poor condition so got replaced as this is a high traffic area and prone to failure

Another little tip the playfield kick out plunger and link is longer that a standard one you can tell this by the 2 marks milled in to it I often find these have slingshot ones in

Always a good idea to re flow the lamp boards while they are off

Next up flipper re builds I much prefer to remove them from the playfield complete and re build them on the bench it's much easier these where all in a state so complete flipper kits new bushes and a new base for one the coils looked and tested fine so they should be ok

All the flippers fitted back in and re soldered in book case and hand back in and all the light boards

And that's all the old stuff ready for the tumbler
