Stern GI only.

Does it make a difference using a slow blow or not?

All marked as slow blow.

I didn't put a slow blow in. Could see the wire glow before it melted.
:tut:

Need to see what fuse it is which voltage rail, probably a shorted bridge

Is the voltage set correct Darren. It is from abroad so I would check.

Is it just the power to the DMD you disconnected which stopped the fuse blowing? I'd be checking the DMD controller for any damaged wiring/components

I have a spare DMD for Stern SAM machines (taken from IJ4) you could try if it's compatible?

It's purely just this cable unplugged. Plugging it in blows the fuse.
That would be great thanks Dave. I'll keep having a play around with it and if it comes to that I'll give you a shout.

Right guys. Had the dmd completely out. All i did was turn it over and have a look and a poke. Put the thing bsck in, switched it on and it boots up fine with no blown fuses!
Bloody strange one this.

I had it a few weeks ago. My FT has been in storage around 6 months. Worked fine when I put it away. Powered it on for the first time and DMD didn't work. Played a game to male sure every th hinges else was OK, which it was. Powered it off, powered it on and DMD came on...has worked fine ever since :-s
