Hi, sorry not sure if this is the right place but hopefully someone will help. I figured as it is a Stern Pinball Machine by origin and somewhat of a unique piece it falls under pinball machine ??

Anyways here goes

Given that im now in knee deep in pinball hunt and purchase i need to alter my arcade room. It was created for the kids but they are drawn to retro arcade , 2p pusher pac-man and now pinball

So sadly i have to let this go along with some others i’ll list in the other for sale section

Stern 2006 Simpsons Kooky Carnival

Most of you know more than i do but it’s an adapted pinball playfield using up the leftovers of pinball party

I picked it up partly working . Now it’s In full working order ( with a brand new bart motor ) . Main SAM power board has been refurbed. Some of the output transistors had failed so it’s been checked over and quite a few replaced

i just can’t seem to get the frame rate right on my iphone in time with the display - however i’ve taken a close up which has nailed it - will come with a few thousand tickets too
Programmable to quite personal set up.
Takes new type 10p only - i believe you can reprogram the coin mech. Happy to throw in some 10p with it too

Few marks etc due to age n that

Wanna try it out - pop by for a beer and some whirlwind too

£1700

if you want a video of it let me know and i can whatsapp

Thanks

Ah, my kids (and me!) would love this, but I am out of space and then some!

Looks in lovely condition! Good luck with the sale!

It does use stern pinball parts, the powerdriver board is the same as whitestar. I only know this useless info because when the post office lost mine one was offered out of this machine 🤭😃🤣

The main pcb is not identical to a whitestar. It has some differences and components missing. The part number is different.

Used to buy these and break them for spares

Rare to see in 2022!

Yes, I was going to send it to mypinballs, to get it updated, it's Basically a g revision board missing some bits😃

I sold this machine in June for £1500, one on eBay is not a healthy representation of value. They go for $750 in the states

Cool machine, same call outs as TSPP, but Dots are different. great to have at parties like Ice Cold Beer, but for only yourself. You’ll be done with it in a week. Very cool tho :)

Noted. there is another one at coin op king for £3200. So im going off 2 different sources. you mean you sold another kooky carnival in June..?

Im open to offers but not £1500 otherwise its a total loss for me sorry

Coinopking Is a dealer, and a great dealer at that. Top guy and top machines but well known for the higher side due to VAT etc. So those two sources are not credible for value. Tbh e one on eBay has been on for a while. Last one that was on sold for £1750 and mine before that for £1500

Sure np, you do you! Good luck with the sale bro 😀👍🏻

Much appreciated. Yes - I noted the prices are quite high on that site but im not a Karnival sales specialist - anyways. Ultimately im making space for pinballs, trade against isn't an issue. Offers arnt an issue, nothing is an issue except loosing money o_O

Machines im after are Oktoberfest and GZ premium. I also have up for a grabs a B7 RS4 and 1967 omega Seamaster if trade is .... ;)

ok, given if i drop the price anymore it will be worth less than stripping it for the parts

So last orders @ £1800 otherwise we will have a few sale listings for the parts inside and me and the wife will turn it into a chair for my 7 year old for his bedroom

I’d be interested in the cpu board if you do split?
But surely it’s better to sell as a worker? Have you tried facebook or eBay?

Thanks Tony, it’s been on ebay for quite some time with 166 views and not 1 iota of interest

It seems a shame to break it up, unfortunately the reality of owning one of these is 10 minutes of fun and then an ornament. But like a fruit machine you can't win anything but your own money from.

it is a shame and if I had an endless pit of cash and a massive shed for storage it would go there. Surely these would be ripe for home-brew ?

Possibly the power driver board the same as a whitestar and the screen.

Although the power driver board is missing some components, it needs to be reto fitted to work in a pinball

this looks fully populated to me ?

That doesn't look like a white star board, perhaps they changed it. I had a LOTR that the post office lost the power direr board, I was offered one from this machine, however it need some bits. fitted for it to work. It was offered from Germany, I eventually found an e revision board in the UK and my pinball reto fitted it. I would have had to get someone to do it for the carnival board.

It's a SAM Cpu/Sound board....

Don’t smash it up. Like someone said before these are rare to find, because they have limited appeal and been scrapped. Great for a family games room and for when you have people over. At the very least if you have to sell it for parts price it up and sell it as one unit at the parts price. If i could store it I’d have it.

I really appreciate the positive feedback here and im all for saving it. At present had to put it in my 78 year old neighbours garage !! ( I know he will plug it in !! ) he's told me a couple months max

I think it might be the wrong time of year

Im up for a trade ???

Any one got an ICE Turbo Drive ?
