Expired Romans/PDI Glass (Standard, Wide Body & Safecracker Sizes)

Expired Due to no activity
OK Dan will do.

For any one else that would like me to collect tonight, please make arrangements with Aaron (includes payment) that way he can let me know who's glass and how many of I am collecting.

Cheers

Thx Aeron, got glass today top man and great to play bazai run for the first time

Aaron is top bloke, and has a lovely collection, I also got to play Banzi Run for the first time and loved it (any spread-betters out there put a punt on BR prices going up).

Aaron once again thanks for doing all the leg-work in getting this glass, I put 1 in Judge Dredd last night and fu%$ me sideways, I could swear that I had forgotten to put the glass on they are THAT good!
I'd say a better than Invisiglass in my WOZ.

Having collected John's, Dan's and my glass I have never driven so slow....

Got my sheet from Julian's this weekend. Big thanks to Aaron for arranging this. Glass looks fantastic.:) If I didn't have cats I think I'd be upgrading all my machines as it makes such a difference.

Only slight downside is I think the glass is a little thicker than standard. I had to play with the back channel to get it fully in. Julian was also saying it didn't sit in some of his newer Sterns. Any one else have this issue?

Thanks again Aaron.

I actually could not put the PDI glass into Simpsons Pinball party or Elvis both 2004 machines, as it was so tight, not the back channel but about an inch away from that, it was so tight I was almost unable to push the glass on anymore!
I decided not to force the glass on as I'd never get the bugger off again, and that would not be good for a pinball machine.

Any idea how to make the left and right channels a little wider?

FYI It did fit a 2004 Ripley's

Thats a bit of a pain with the glass being tight in some machines, sounds like it could just be some Sterns around that age. PDI glass is 5mm and standard spec is 3/16" which converts to 4.7625mm. The standard stuff must be a really tight fit too on those machines?

Finally installed the glass.... Wow! What an upgrade!!!

Have put in Tron, IM and MET so far, with one left...

Many thanks

I've still got two from the last buy. Need to get them installed, defo ones going in TWD.

How is everyone cleaning this glass? I'm aware that is has a coating and that certain glass cleaners could damage it - is there a commercial product out there which is suitable?

I'd go for water spray and a micro fibre cloth, that's what you're supposed to use on LCD TVs which also have a coating you don't want to damage!

Due to popular demand I'm planning to bring in a second batch of PDI glass. I was hoping to be able to get it here in time for the NLP however due to heavy work commitments over the last month or two have let it slip. :( After emailing Roman last week I understand the lead time on more glass is about 5 weeks. I'm going to ask if anything can be done to bring it forward but for the time being its best to assume it won't be possible to avoid disappointment!

Anyway I'd like to try and get numbers together quickly this time so I can get an order together asap. It seems a lot of people visit the forum daily if not every other day so hopefully this shouldn't be a problem. I'd like to place an order this week, most likely Wednesday. I'll be ordering up a few spare sheets but if you want glass then get your requirements to me asap to avoid disappointment as if the last batch is anything to go by they will be allocated quickly.

I'm going to be starting a brand new list as of now so please let me know what you would like either by PM or in this thread even if you have expressed interest in the second batch previously.

Pricing will be a little higher than last time as its quite a bit of work to bring it in and get it where it needs to go etc. SafeCracker and Standard will be £135 a sheet, and Widebody £145. If you want lots of glass then I'm prepared to discount this a bit depending on how much you want and how quickly you intend to collect it etc.
