Crikey I knew I shouldn't have posted here .

I just couldn't understand the sudden descent into personal abuse in this thread. I really, really don't like it.

And I was just trying to work out what triggered it. The beef curtains joke was the only possible thing I could find in what seemed to me to be nothing more than light hearted banter. Up until Sarah's nasty post I was enjoying it.

I was a bit tempted by the RFM too.

It would be nice if Sarah could come back and explain just what it was that so upset her.

I've had dealings with Sarah over the years and always found her fine - though I'm well aware this hadn't been everyone's experience.

However I'm finding this thread uncomfortable as its now known that making comments on Sarah's posts will cause a reaction, but when that reaction is duly achieved people have expressed surprise and some of the comments are now getting offensive.

Even if the original comments themselves weren't offensive (and beef curtains is at best debateable)can I suggest that in future if Sarah posts a machine for sale / wante only post a comment if it's directly applicable to the machine(s) in question.

If there are still problems that's when mods should look at the behaviour of Sarah (or indeed anyone else) and do something about it , but hopefully it would stop those problems happening and avoid threads like this one.......

At first I was going to leap to Sarah's defense. Then I read the entire thread.

@RudeDog1 - please - just don't enflame things - the phrase isn't pleasant, and lots of ladies would be insulted by it - and that's not what this place is about.

However I can't defend Sarah's outburst, however I can understand her frustrations. Anyone see the guy in the US college this week that was flailing knives about.. and then got shot by a law enforcement officer? Wasn't known at the time, however he was being routinely bullied.

There may be reasons behind people's actions that people are completely unaware of. I don't for one minute condone her actions towards Courtney, which were completely out of order, however I'll deal with that separately - however if people could remember this before posting, it would be appreciated
