Claire's black hole has a few issues, one of the main ones is the sounds play randomly, ie, you can hit targets many times and get different sounds each time and other times switches won't produce any sounds at all.
Plus the background sound wasn't working at all until I noticed one wire out of a connector, popped it back and now we have random background sounds, which when working no other sounds work and it either never starts or never stops!
Googling tells me that it's often connectors. I've checked as many as I can and it's hard to tell if they're not good.
It's probably worth me redoing as many as I can to eliminate them being the issue.
Where do I find the right parts for the connectors? I'm ok with crimping but lots of these are IDC and the connector housings are different to the molex types.
Can you replace the edge connectors with similar connectors but that use molex or similar crimps rather than IDC?
Really in the dark with this game

I forgot to add, it's an export sound board. We are going to get the GOSOF soundboard from Lisy, and use the US domestic sounds. But this won't change anything if the issue is connectors or one of the other boards (tbf we're going to get new mpu and driver too but still, with bad connectors it's pointless)
