image.png image.png image.png Found this Tom on an advertisement page based up in Glasgow. What's your opinions, real or no real for that incredible price?

Too nice for the price, my inkling says no real as well but nothing about this screams scam at me either. I'd check it out and see if its legit at least. Only thing is it says it will be shipped, I'd be dubious if you wern't allowed to inspect it for some reason.

If they don't mind getting their head kicked in by the scammers

Seems a bit cheap for a good condition TOM. It could be someone who's had it a while and is unaware of the pinflation of recent years. That being said, it looks like a an ad from someone more in touch with the community (Has own personal mods installed, etc) than a random "Bought a pin 10 years ago and need the space" one-off buyer.

Its also an unexpected machine for scammers to use I'd have thought - They usually go for the higher value/ popular MM/ MB/ TAF etc 4 - 5k+ machines don't they? I wouldn't expect them to go for something this obscure (Its not that well known or popular a machine for the maximum desirability that you'd expect a scammer to want).

Nice bargain if legit but, as said above, if its pay up front and "we'll ship it, honest" then stay well away. Heck I'd want some backup just to go pick it up in person. I've heard bad things about Craigslist in general.

Shame its not down south really. We could easily whistle up a decent sized mob with torches and pitchforks to investigate further then ;)

Did investigate the site and it's a hell of a wierd one. The things posted on there I wish I hadn't seen

don't touch Craigslist with anything.

Buy from reputable buyers/sellers/collectors on here at (usually) fair prices with (usually) fairly accurate descriptions.

If it's too good to be true on Craigslist, then 99% chance it is. Are you willing to take that gamble with thousands of £'s for the remaining 1% that just might be genuine?

I wouldn't buy without a viewing or second opinions, just thought it was an interesting one that's we I posted on here ;)

Probably a scam but the easiest way to check is to mail them and ask to come and view it. They'll likely make up some excuses why that's not possible and confirm this as dodgy

But as @Monkeyboypaul says, beware buying off Craigslist and Ebay when you're first starting out in the hobby. Always better to buy from someone reputable off here :)

I thought that "two of my very own hand crafted creations" was a dead giveaway that the description been lifted from an old eBay listing of Manny's.

Definitely a wierd in I asked if I were able to view it he said yes and gave me the postcode and said he could ship for £200

If someone could view it and verify it is the same games as in the pictures, this would be a good bargain. Shame I'm not near!

Same wish I was closer it's in Greenock about 5 and a half hours from where I am :(

Has anyone in the UK ever bought or sold a machine on Craigslist? I automatically assume everything on it is a scam

Not bought anything myself as I'd heard the same sort of thing.

Its not in the usual middle-of-nowhere inaccessible spot you'd expect from a scam though. Someone could concievably go have a look if they lived Glasgow way.

Has anyone asked for pictures of known worn areas? If they can't provide them then they done have the pin!

I'm over on the east coast but I'm not going to take a kicking for anyone.

Just checked the listing original placed 27 Jan. I feel if it is real then it would of been sold well before now.
