lol, thats near the where I keep the bins :D
Neil, how close are you putting the pins to each other, my pinshed can fit 12 but i only have 10 in there as it allows the sides to be shown and doesnt look so cramped

there is a good space between them so they can be nudged maybe 50mm between them - not worried about seeing the sides.

Neil.

sweet Neil !!!! - so just out if interest when it comes to humidity levels in a pinshack what is the recommended level ?. I have temp and humidity monitors in my pinshack, workshop and externally and when the heat is chugging away on a low level the humidity is at about %50 without any dehumidifers

Cheers

50% is the top end I'd be happy with - what you might want to measure is this during a 3/4 sunny day period. In theory the insulation should take care of it though.

light track arrived... using wiz wifi gu10s that are very good.

network and hdmi cables - should be able to do single cam stream on all games during competitions.

Bit late to the party on the lighting question. By the looks of it your track will take GU10s which is good. I fitted LED downlights in my extension (due to cellotex in a tight cavity I couldn’t use GU10 downlights as they would’ve over heated) and got specialist aurora LED downlighting that can be used with cellotex and rock wool insulation in a cavity. They work a treat but cost ££££ and if I had a deeper cavity ceiling I would always use standard GU10 fittings as it means: if a unit blows in 5yrs and they don’t make it anymore you don’t need to replace an entire set with new ones, you can test out different led bulbs until you get the intensity you want, and you can put regular bulbs in if you decide you don’t like the light from LEDs.

The other thing I personally really like is (again depends on the finish of your ceiling and whether you are going to plaster etc) a concealed light source around a pelmet always looks much nicer to the eye and casts a subtle indirect light. Google images: “concealed cornice lighting”

A selection of different light sources (some direct and some indirect) on dimmers gives you a lot more control over the mood in the room.

Yeah I had those type of LED downlighter in my old Pinball room I want to avoid downlighters as they glare on the machines badly you also have to wire them individually if you want individual control.

The track will point away from the machines and the ambient light will illuminate them - Julian has this setup at his place and it works well in my view. The GU10 WI-FI wiz bulbs I’m using allow a lot of control over the light and whilst the track is two circuits (one on each side of the machines) the bulbs can be individually programmed and scenes created around them so the gym area can be well lit whilst the rest is dimmer or I can crank up the light in a specific area whilst I stream and take the reflections out. I can also add specific spots/pendants to the track if needed but I doubt I will.

I haven’t ruled out also adding a LED strip behind the machines or as a cornice - the circuits will be there to do that but probably a day 2 addition as I’ve used the crazy lights I bought on another project in the house!

Really just want them to start building the room now! But got a couple of weeks to wait sadly. The mods for my games are piling up!

Cheers

Nice one. Those led bulbs sound ideal for creating mini zones without loads of wiring and switches. Not considered the downlights / glare issue, but I probably do subconsciously play with the downlights off and the ambient stuff on now you mention it. [emoji106]

****s starting to get real.

So some of the upgrades to the log cabin arrived today without then telling me. The ****.wits from jewson dumped a pallet of OSB and strengthened floorboards on the ****ing entrance to my drive - I nearly drove into them. The guys from Kingspan did a great job delivering the insulation - I had to move it all and it nearly killed me. 20K steps today! Lol.

Hope the wind doesn't get up too much Neil. Nightmare them tarpaulins if the wind gets under them. Plus you always find its always lashing down with rain when your trying to anchor them down if they come loose.

yeah was a nightmare just getting the tarpaulin on the damn thing. I've tied it down from the bottom as much as I can to avoid the weather. To be honest the shed folks sent this stuff way to early, it arrived last Monday and the shed itself isn't delivered until Thursday and build work starts the following Thursday.

I moved it to the back of the house as its secure there and I suspect I'll need the space on my drive way for the shed, apparently its 2 articulated lorry coming! I'll put the time-lapse back on at that point.

Starting to go a bit nuts waiting on this now!!! just want it done.

Keep the pics coming Neil. Looks like it's going to be an epic build. Can't seem to see the 'Ground Force' crew in that picture anywhere?

actually only one side of that was mine which was what was in the picture!

the guy did a ****ing ace job unloading it although now my driveway is a bit congested, he had to cross another street and a very busy road and did it all without causing chaos.

found a few more details out in picture form that i'm even more happy about. i ordered shutters for the doors as I wanted to be able to have some light come in if needed, the shutters are superb:

I have double doors like this one with double shutters.

and the windows are perfect too:
