Read on the yahoo group today about this becoming a machine reality and pending Martin's news update, looking forward to ANY detail on it as soon as !!

This is 'the' game that got me into pinball and is a superb design IMO. Seriously need to consider cash to one side for this, subject to the detail.

Some nice renders below of the Ultra Edition playfield. Anyone know if this differs from the original?

From the first vid i posted it looks the same. I must say, it looks pretty fantastic.

A few Q&A's from their facebook page:

We have compiled a list of answers to some of the questions we received via Pinside/Facebook and e-mail.

- What’s the fuzz
We’re building Timeshock!.

Pro Pinball: Timeshock! is a PC pinball simulation released in 1997 and has since sold millions of copies around the world. Despite its age, it’s still seen as one of the most realistic pinball simulators ever made. It is praised for its excellent gameplay and deep rule set. Currently an HD version of the PC game is in development under the name “Timeshock! The ULTRA Edition”.

- There are so many new games announced these days. Why is this any different?
As far as we know, this will be the first time a physical pinball is based upon a PC pinball simulation. The layout and ruleset have proven itself to be fun and exciting and the theme has stood the test of time. We think the game is simply awesome!

- Do you own the license to build this game?
Like Ade has mentioned a few posts back: yes, we do.

- How are the original game creators involved in this?
We are working with almost the entire team that developed the original game, to create the most authentic experience possible.

- Are you just starting with this?
No, we have been working under the radar for over a year now. A flipping whitewood is up and running

- Is this another five year wait?
We plan to be production ready by summer 2015.

- What about deposits and pre-orders ?
Regardless of whatever payment plans we will offer when the time comes, we will always offer the option to only pay in full when the machine is production ready and parts sourcing/assembly begins.

- Kickstarter?
No.

Now that is a blast from the past!

Is Ade still running it and I wonder if he still has his mini, bk2k and sttng

It was a shame the the Lawlor/youssi kickstarter never made it. If you didn't know they had him signed up to make an original table using their new engine.

There was talk of them releasing an editor under the new one, that would nice. This has a taken a while now, this newer kickstarter after the first one failed was quite a way back.

If they fix up on head tracking it will look even better, real depth on that cab view.

Errrrrrr ....... maybe you have to have nostalgic memories of playing this game back in the day to appreciate the theme?

Will have to follow this pin project more closely methinks.

This and 'Wrath of Olympus' will be the only two physical machines that are made from an already released digital version of themselves.

I still reckon the physics in Pro Pinball are better than anything Farsight have come up with.

Ball spin!

They probably do spin at least there, it's just the gash one dimensional textures that you can't see spinning.

In the new VP you have to turn on the FPS counter to see the spin without a decent texture & Unit3D uses an amiga ball.

Possibly, but price is everything. Will be following this closely anyway. :)

Where do you people get your money from is what I wanna know must get paid more than me that's for bleddy sure lol (doesn't take much)

Just amazes me how you lot allways but nib where as I for example struggle like fook. Wasn't really a personal question I just don't understand how. I must be doing something very wrong lol

If it helps or makes you feel better, I've no 'spare' cash for this machine and would have to sell others to fund it.

Currently in the process of getting an outbuilding constructed to get my pins out of the house and about £3K short on that.... and then I have to finish it off internally somehow. Funding this largely comes down to losing my dad and both grandparents in the last 3 years.

Sold my entire collection of vintage synths (collected over last ten years) to spend on this hobby, fortunately, they increased in value quicker than pins do.

Got a decent job now but started my employment career on £4K a year, shovelling other people's sh*t (to use a phrase) and being a Dad at 20 with no house and that kind of salary, know what it feels like to be totally and utterly skint.....and in debt.

Don't let it bother you, you got nicer pins than I started with. BTW, ST has been my one and only NIB so far. ;)

That does suck dude I lost 3 grandparents last year. I guess I'm kinda stuck in a rut living in a shared house, having to save most spare money to get my son over from oz, debt to pay off, wouldn't mind a new car. I spose I'm envious of a lot of you guys and a lil bit jealous

All I can hope is to play @JMP's one day.

You've been here Carl (?!) but welcome again of course when you fancy it. :D

Too easy to be a green-eyed monster Rudi, been there myself a long time ago.... Anyway, sounds like you need to get involved with a few meets or gatherings to play more machines and satisfy the lust. Do you not get involved with a Southern Pinball League?

Sold my entire collection of vintage synths

Ouch, tough one. Not sure I could do that even for the pinball. Only had one synth (Virus B) , not vintage but a beast.

The grass is always greener on the other side and things aren't always as they seem. ;)
