Ian Lever

Hi all, I had a few conversations last week related to other threads but thought I would start my own as new. This is my first proper post so bear with me please.

I have two pinballs which reluctantly I may need to sell. Both machines are in good working order with all features operating fine. Both machines show slight signs of wear and tear due to age but I have tried to show these in the photos which I've uploaded.

Price wise I am looking for £6,000 for the Monster Bash and £2,000 for the Dracula machine. I realise both are priced at the top end but I am prepared to offer discount if the buyer takes both. The Dracula has the leaping wolf mod and I have user and technical manuals for both machines.

Both machines can be viewed and played at my house just outside Manchester.

I would give you my right arm for the MB but then I couldn't operate one of the flippers....these deserve a forum home...dam you pesky house renovations.

No disrespect to the price but how come Monster Bash generates such an high price?

Same reason as anything else expensive, lots of people want it (because it looks and sounds so good, is funny and fun) so the demand far outstrips the supply so the price went up as far as it could.
The price selects itself by market forces: nowadays people selling one know that if they listed it for 4K it'd go in a heartbeat and they could easily have had more money, whereas if they asked 5K for it, it may sit around unsold for a while. Therefore the title becomes a 4-5K game and the word gets round.

Nothing to do with how many were made, it's not rare. Nothing to do with how much hardware it toys are on it. Nothing to do with how "good" it is. Many think it's boring or too easy, but it's a theme that pretty much everyone likes.

I love mine, it's got the best playfield I've seen on one, and I put a shaker motor and colour DMD in it, you'd never prise it from me for less than 10K. But that doesn't mean it's a ten grand game.

Yep, supply and demand. I have had a couple of MBs and have often been offered 6k+ for my current one. BUT its not for sale. I love it so much I only sell when I have 2!!!

I had a blazing row with they who should be obeying after blowing 900 on mb. Sulking lasted for days .

then sold it after.. what was it 10 days........

Actually Stan I will correct you on that one, it was the very next day it went up for sale on the yahoo group and was collected the following morning... Lol
Didn't realise until I bought Afm of the same guy that the reason why I thought MB sucked was because I finished the game on about the second game as he sets all his machines up to easy and extra balls for everything :)

Good luck with both sales.

Monster Bash is on my #1 list but I ain't got that sort of cash. At least not right now.

I can only echo Dans sentiments about Monster Bash. It has absolutely bags to do with a decent rule set and the dots and humour in the audio is fantastic. Amazingly i've still not seen one at Play Expo. Could someone please please please send one along next year?

Theres one at Tilt in BHam if youre in the area!

Well after almost a month, the proposed buyer has just told me he hasn't got the money. Was very apologetic but had asked me to wait till the end of this month for payment.

Ho hum.

So, his offer (that I accepted) was £7,000 for the pair so that's the latest offer price. Let me know if you want to view the machines or make an offer.

Those of you who messaged me separately, I would be interested to hear from you again.

Thanks,

Ian

Could be worse. I get to leave my wife and daughter tomorrow morning and go back to work with 1400 teenage girls and 150 women. Somewhere in the building there might be another middle aged man keeping a very low profile but we are never allowed to be in the same room at the same time. Good God, once I had a whole day of training on "Emotional Intelligence". Still got no bloody idea what that crap was about. I swear blind I'm becoming a woman by osmosis, I now have massive mood swings and cravings for chocolate.:confused:
