I was originally looking for a chrome shooter rod for my TAF but didn’t particularly want to pay the shipping/imports fees on getting one from the US. So I decided to make a few myself.

I have 2 sizes available , 32mm and 38mm. The 32mm versions are basically the diameter of a standard shooter rod.

I polish the aluminium up to a mirror finish and also can also offer them in high gloss black.
But I could get them powder coated in any colour you want.

24ct Gold plated shooter rods as well as gold shooter rod plates are also now available.

They come with a standard shooter shaft that fits 90’s Bally/Williams and System 11 games. Stern shooter rods are also available.

32mm or 38mm shooter rods in either mirror polished or powder coated - £43.50 delivered

32mm or 38mm Gold Plated Shooter Rods - £73.50 delivered

Gold Plated Shooter Rod Plate - £43.50 delivered

If you buy more than 1 at the same time, I can knock off the £3.50 postage from all other shooter rods 👍🏻

The difference in weight between carbon and stainless steel isn't worth bothering about for you. It's only about 150kg/m3 heavier.

The first one I made, I actually used a 38mm ball made from stainless steel. When I put it in a game to test, a full plunge lost nearly all its power. So in the end I went with aluminium

I’ve made some more of the 32mm polished shooter rods so both sizes are now available again.

I have some more of the gloss black versions next week.

Also I have been asked if I could make one for TOM and TOTAN. So I’ll be getting some 24 carat gold plated 32mm and 38mm shooter rods within the next week. 👍🏻

Bump

I’ve only got 3 of the large (38mm) polished shooter rods left now until I make another batch, which I’ll try and do before Pinfest so I can bring some with me.

I do have some Gloss Black available though.

I should also hopefully be collecting the gold plated ones next week.

Original post has been updated with prices for the 24ct Gold Plated Shooter Rods.

These came out great 🤩. The initial ones that I had plated are already sold but if anyone wants one, send me a PM as I’ve got more currently being plated.

I’ll also soon be able to offer matching gold shooter rod plates plus the small barrel spring in gold as well 👍🏻

I’ve sent out quite a few Shooter rods over the past month so I thought id give this a little bump.

I now have new shooter rod plates so can also get these gold plated or powder coated to match.

I can now do these for new sterns and Spooky pins as well.
I’ll also have some in a gold anodised finish available soon.

Here’s a few that I’ve posted out recently 👍🏻

That twilight one is super cool mate

I’ve had 3 from Ant
T.Z looks very good indeed.
Ive got a glass one for my TAF which will be fitted once it’s completed.
Now the GOLD one caused me a lot‘s of problems, it’s so bloody nice it’s cost me more money to get other bits done to match.

The quality of these are just outstanding.

Thought I’d give this a little bump. I have both 32mm and 38mm sizes in stock.

Sent out quite a few in the last couple of weeks, including a 24ct gold 32mm shooter rod along with matching plate.

Hello, I'm interested in getting 2 Bally/Williams start button rings, would you PM me the info. Thanks so much.

These are absolutely top quality. Really pleased with the ones I have installed

Would it be possible to order another 1 x 32mm Chrome

Hey Ant,
Just an observation….
I’ve been using the Bally assemblies on all my pins for a while now (sourced myself). Gold / chrome housing / rods, barrel springs etc…. the action is just great.
As you know the bushing on OEM Stern is metal on metal think they use brass within the housing.

I guess you are using the nylon sleeve…..
Thought I’d mention as that’s the lubricant for smooth operation 👍

Thanks for the heads up mate. I don’t supply any sleeves with my shooters. It’s just the rod.
However I didn’t know that about Sterns, as I’ve only recently got my first one so good to know 👍🏻
