Divorce is a swear word in my house, split with my wife nearly 8 years ago. Gave her the luxury villa which I paid for before marriage, I was also mortgage free before marriage, She put zero money into the marriage. So! now I’m going through the divorce and have just filled in the E form which you have declare everything including my pinball collection.
She wants half of everything now. I’m battling cancer and now battling for what was mine for 33 years my Home, marital home for less than 9 years.
Im sure the pinball machines is the last of his worries.

My bro had just finished building a dream home (£2.5mil) for his family in London and she kicked him out and has been after everything else he worked for, I can’t believe what the barristers are chargingNightmare for him, lost his kids as she turned them against him. Nightmare!

#1 Every divorce case is different.

#2 Get GOOD legal representation, DON’T get the local solicitor from the local town.

Yes it costs a lot of money, but good representation can also save you a lot of money long term. If it’s not a final settlement then you may well get expensive repercussions in the future.

Started on the clean up. Previous owner had already cleaned about half the playfield parts so working through cleaning what he left. Rebuilt both flipper mechanisms with new service parts.
Cleaned up all the coils. Basically what is in pic i have cleaned. Metal polishing to follow. Previous owner was meticulous in labelling all the connectors and had bagged up all the screws and fittings for mechanisms that he had already dismantled being 2x slingshots, 2x trolls, 3x pop bumpers. I will be working through cleaning and polishing all playfield parts before reassembly. Dirty plastic parts are currently soaking in a bucket of luke warm water with some persil in it. Works wonders for bringing off the dirt.

All this was cleaned and polished by previous owner ready for reassembly. Ball guides will need regraining and polishing before going back on.

Latter part of evening in front of TV cleaning and testing light boards now ready to reinstall. Box contains what was replaced and had to reflow solder on one board.

I see it's not a European coin door. I have a bag of NoS bits somewhere, inc. bunmper skirts, chips and the elusive clear plastic anti hang up plastic for the tower.

Lower cabinet main serial number sticker states it was made for Germany and coin door sticker serial number matches the lower cabinet serial number so coin door is original. 2 slots have Euro denomination and one has DM so clearly still on route and updated when euro arrived.

When you find them all let me know what you have and prices for the parts you have. I don't think I have the hang up plastics.

Looks like it has been done already. 1=11, 3=9, 7=10 when reading left to right then top to bottom with locking tab of jumper plug at the bottom.

Looks correct to me. 1= black 7= white and 3 jumpered to 9. Same as my creech and as per p11 of schematics for early wpc games which only jumper for 230v and don't differ between 220v and 240v unlike later wpc95 games.

Over Christmas and New Year I spent what time I had in cleaning and polishing all the playfield parts and reassembling all the mechanisms. Everything has been stripped cleaned and polished to last nut and bolt and new coil sleeves used throughout. I have a long parts list but mainly small common service parts but pretty much all the game specific parts are good and serviceable except the castle gate which is broken in the usual place. I expect to be putting in some parts orders in a few days. Just the 2 plastic ramps left to clean up which should get done this evening.

This afternoon I moved onto the lower cabinet clean up. It took about an hour to strip everything out of it for cleaning and and polishing. There was plenty of the usual vintage pinball gunk in the cabinet. The cabinet will be cleaned and new satin black after repair of scratches where playfield has caught the cabinet sides. The cabinet back will also get new satin black after the wooden sliders are reattached properly as they are loose. It looks like it will be a busy weekend for me.

Filled and sanded the damage to cabinet inside side ready for satin black. Sanded base of cabinet to remove the dirt. One pic shows right side finished sanding and flipper end not yet done with vintage filth. Cabinet base has also been sanded inside. Satin black inside going on this afternoon.

This afternoon's task is reassembling the base cabinet now satin black is dry and all stripped parts have been cleaned and polished.

Lower cabinet reassembled just the coin door to finish reassembling and put on. Both flipper opto interrupters and associated springs were replaced as one was old white style and one spring was missing. I also had spare flipper boards in my nos stash so they can go on later if needed. Otherwise everything else was as is just cleaned and polished. Pleased with the resprayed satin black as you can't see where the scrapes were. It's all in the prep.

Side rails still need a clean and polish once glass is back on.

Onto the playfield today. Removed the mylar which went really well. Unfortunately some mylar around left troll had been removed badly by previous owner so there is some damage there.

I have decided to touch up and clearcoat the playfield rather than buy new. Only new ones available are mirco and they don't get great reviews.

So today after removing the mylar the top of the playfield just got a clean so that I could see exactly what needs repair and touch up before clearcoat.

Now moving on to removing the looms lamp sockets and switches from the underside to they can be cleaned.
