My Bally Game Show has a few of the lights out and I need help in finding out why. The three red bumper lights, the 16 strobe lights and the backglass general illumination lamps are out. The game plays OK and during play the flashers behind the backglass work.
I have checked the fuses and the wiring on J6 and J7 on the Backbox Interconnect Board. I have also changed the IDC connectors on both J6 and J7, but it has made no difference.
Any ideas on where to go next would be very much appreciated...

Depends if other lights in the same column are working, if they are then check that voltage is present on the wires that attach to the lamp holders as they could be suspect, often just cleaning the spring inside with a pencil eraser or a bit of sand paper can get them working.

If no voltage on the wires check next lamp up stream of the non worker and check for a loose/crap connection.

Hope that helps

Saw this thread title & thought you were referring to the NLP Show lock-in on the Saturday night...it's billed as "Lights-Out" :)

(Still places left if anyone wants in!)

Love Gameshow though...my wife always used to make-up her own quotes...best one she came out with was, "You've just won a Thai-bride". :-o

Sorry...none of this helps you with your problem though!

Regards,
Dan.

Thanks for that, I will now think of Thai brides every time I play it!! :-)
