JJP Harry Potter -Confirmed

I've tried a few times over the years to get in to the films, and can see the appeal, but overall, I'm not a HP fan at all (do like the sauce on a sausage/bacon roll though....)
My wife is a huge fan though and can watch the films over and over.
Have to admit that the pin looks great though; giving me Theatre of magic vibes, which is good.
Must be awesome for HP fans that JJP has put the effort in to cover all of the films.
CE cab art looks very nice 👍

Kris, what cameras are you using ? This is the best detail footage on the net.
Thanks mate, I appreciate that, that's exactly what I was going for so it's great to have that feedback.

The camera is a Lumix S5ii but the lens is probably more important at 18mm f1.8 and I have a huge light illuminating the game too so it's a combination of all 3.

I have a much more detailed gameplay video coming up too but it's 3 cameras so will take a bit of editing.

The game is very fast, very addictive and shoots incredibly well. The flippers are very powerful and they have nailed it with that upper playfield shot.

I can only echo what Paul said about the call outs which were a help.

We have a 1 hour 45 min walkthrough and playfield talk with game designer Eric which we've already recommended and he's kindly spent so much time talking through the game, shots and rules.

But honestly, I'd just encourage everyone to play it and decide for yourselves. Either pop up to PH and have a game of if you're down South, you're welcome to pop over to me when I eventually get one.

Don't get me wrong, it's a pretty game etc but it was the gameplay rather than the glitter which I enjoyed.

Just watched Joel's first game. I really want to want this game due to theme but I think there's just too much going on at once for me, player's focus is pulled all over the place and it seems hard to concentrate on one task at a time. I know Eric has said if you want to watch the movies, watch the movies but I do want to play through the clips in a more obvious way without the code clutter, shoot this shot, this clip plays, repeated to complete a scene. Even the final exam was just playing as everything was going on.

I'm sure it's going to be a lot of fun for a lot of people but it's one I'm at least going to wait on for now.

Just finished playing Harry Potter for the day and damn it’s good

How good… Seriously good… Not going to touch on the aesthetics as you can all see the photos and already know it’s a thing of beauty

Now from a players perspective, it’s a great shooter, flippers are strong and the flow is good.

They have taken what they did well Elton and the fun level from POTC and you have Harry Potter.

There is a lot to do and I only scratched the surface today, lots of modes and 4 or 5 multiballs I only got to 3 of them I think as you have qualify them so it’s same level as stern for multiballs and not continuous as people may have feared

I was in on King Kong Premium and now i’m torn as I was really blown away by Harry Potter

It’s the complete package and I think maybe the only pinball ever to have achieved this on this level

Theme
Art package
Full Assets
Great layout and packed playfield
Code seems great considering it’s only just been released

JJP have really stepped up on this

I haven't read the books or seen the movies but the theme isn't likely to be a negative for most people. The opposite really because although hopefully many will be made it should retain it's value better than most themes.
