Ok so this is doing my tits in I’ve had this POS on and off more than our lasses knickers and she’s a proper slack Alice.

when I activate it by hand it actually moves the leaf switch cup away as if it was a break not make one.

when assembled in the pin does the collar on the Newton ball need to be fixed with locktite in position shown here

Reason I ask as it regularly ends up like this when I go to adjust

Either way it’s very temperamental anyhoo and has been this way since NIB to me.

Any tweeks or ideas I would like to sort this one issue before I move it on.

thx Col

Is there room to fit a nut on the bottom part of the thread? If there is then tighten the nut up against the collar and then it shouldn't undo.

i added 2-4-2 locktite to the centring cone (that round thing) and also the new pointy post that came from Stern Spare parts Germany.

If yours was NIB from Phil then maybe he can supply you with 2.

Took some adjusting, but has been very good for the last couple of months. You may need to move the plastic switch cup stand-off so the point is exactly centred ready for a ball strike.

I also noticed you had this up for sale on Pinball Owners!

I am not so sure they are more pointy but I got these 2 off Sutol which are slightly larger but don’t sort my problem.
But busy atm but I’ll look into that thread later

blue thread locker with the pointed posts above. Tighten it as hard as you can.

once tightened then adjust the switch so it works.

Did that to mine at home and the club been solid since.

Yep not really gelled and all I seem to do is moan about it so it’s for the chop

definitely adjust the position of the switch post as well as the sensitivity of the switch itself.
I’ve gave up counting the amount of times I’ve messed around with that but one thing I’m sure of Stern won’t be fitting those again as they probably sacked the guy who over engineered them :p
