Ghostbusters Pro - 6k (or 6.5k with LCD Colour DMD)

Bought this a couple of months back for 6k, since then I’ve done the following:

Re-tapped & fitted bigger grub screw to Slimers shaft (😳) as this had worn away and was slipping leading to the game not realising Slimer was in the down position & therefore not registering hits - all working perfectly now.

Crimped a metal sleeve round Slimer cable (known fix from Pinside to improve Slimer hit recognition consistency)

Re punched rivets & fitted small brace to right ramp diverter. Rivets had come loose enough for diverter to jam open. This works perfectly now.

Minor marks on rails touched up & rubber grommets on back box replaced.

Two broken EOS switch’s fixed (one leaf switch & one EOS actuator replaced)

Backbox decals replaced (both sides)

Official Art Blades added.

Under cab lighting added (you’ve been slimed!)

Cols protectors (x3) and door plaque added.

Blue rubbers replaced. All playfield rubbers replaced (wasn’t necessary but I changed these back to black from white)

Playfield is in great condition, just minor wear to right saucer & be aware the left scoop normally has a metal protector round it, this was broken so has been removed.
Cabinet & backbox art also in great condition.

I’m asking for exactly what I paid (6k) or 6.5k with LCD Colour DMD fitted.

* There is one outstanding issue where by any time the Slimer motor is in use, some of the lower playfield inserts flicker. Slimer is only used to start a mode, during multi ball & to finish one of the 9 modes also so it’s not something you see too often to be fair. See video link below. *

Are these using LED PCBs or normal lamp holders with LEDs in them?
If its the later try different LEDs.
I can not remember if Spike 1 was PCB LEDs or not....
All LED PCB’s mate, there’s a seperate thread covering the issue 👍

Jesus Christ mate what is up with you

Nothing much just setup an Addams Family

Thanks for the DM too

There was no menace in my post, great pin at a great price just wondering why its not been snapped up!

Literally just sent this thread to a Tilt regular who is weighing up his first pin

You like to jump on people don't you 🤣 Chill out

Absolutely love it. Getting 60 ghosts then trying to beat my best super loops is very addictive. I just have to sell 2 (maybe 3) pins to free up space ( Met, BM66, IMDN & GZ all beat GB for me) - time is on my side though hence I’ve opened it up to trades so I can try something else for a couple of months then move the trade on/or keep and move something else on.

It's a great game, personally I think the pro a better game. Family and non pinball friends love mine, ignore the negative, if you adjust the settings it fixes the frustrations. Probably one of stern best use of a movie theme, original cast, Ernie Hudson doing custom call outs. A good price.

Premium -
*extra wireform that goes from middle right
to left outlane.
* Slimer moves more directions
* Libary & Ghost vault 3D plastics
* Physical ball lock under playfield with subway
ramp
* Magna slings
* Ecto Goggles toy

What’s the difference between pro and premium on this?
The biggest difference is the magnets on the lower playfield, these cause the ball to behave in all sorts of irritating ways, the machine already has some quirks, with air balls and the outlines being metal rails that cause the ball to jump over, this can be rectified with a kit you can get from Marco and pinball life, the additional magnets in my opinion just make the game too unpredictable and remove the joy.
From memory and this part I might be wrong, but I remember Slimer rests in a different place which leaves the launch and the centre path open to the ball draining instantly. Slimer on the pro rests over the middle lane and acts as a stopper for this behaviour, it doesn't always work but again less frustrating.
The premium the ball travels under the playfield and pops out, whilst it's a neat trick, I prefer the pro as you can see where and what the ball is doing.

The set up is essentially the same, unlike some other machines such as Mando where the up scoop and moving two flipper mini play field is missing, making the game pretty different both in play and some coded gameplay features.

Oh and the price 😜 the premium about 2 to 3k more depending on DMD etc, the colour DMD is essential for Ghostbusters really brings the game together

Magna slings are great! Like TAF magnets.
Ball does crazy things which adds to the fun!
Slimer sits above cityscape on Prem/LE.
Thanks for confirming, I'm not going mad then about slimer resting differently 😜. In pinball One person fun is another person pain. No right or wrong answer with Ghostbusters, theme is killer, pro is great, premium is a little different also great, personal preference is the pro.

If I didn't already own one I would have bought this, surprised it's still available

Yeah. Wouldn’t sell mine unless an LE came up for a good trade. Pro is awesome when set up right.

Glad is sold as I was looking at this ad multiple times daily since it was posted, a proper well put together for sale detailed listing also.

Super fun Pin that's on my essential to get list at some point.
