Less than three weeks to go till the UKCS finals at PBR - featuring 64 of the best players in the UK who will lock horns over 2 days to determine the Champion.

I thought why not have a bit of fun, cheer on your favourites and predict those who will catch the eye and perform at UKCS with a fun fantasy comp.

The way it will work is this - each participant will choose a team of 8 players (team names optional!). These will be selected from the 64 players who have confirmed they are taking part. I have divided the player list into 8 groups based on UKCS seeding - all you have to do is pick ONE from each of the 8 groups to form your team, and post your team by reply to this thread (no edits - choose carefully!)

SCORING:

At the end of the event, the each player in your team will score points based on their finishing position in the competition (using final standings submitted to IFPA). For example, if you chose the winning player you will score 1 point for that player, and if you picked the person who came last that player would score 64 points for your team. You self-add all the finishing positions of all your players at the end of the competition and that is your final team score - reply to your own team selection post with your score! Obviously the lowest scoring team will win - hope that is clear - questions welcome. Good luck!

NB - if you pick a player who doesn't show up, that player will score 65 points automatically(!)

Group 1 - Awww it's going to be tight, I can see plenty of JOStling for position, WILL-ing each other on, but ultimately the Humble shall rise, CRAIG PULLEN Vincetorious!! Pockibly not 🙄

Group 2 - What a Love-ly group of men. A Mottly crew, Gene-rous and Lloyd-al, DAN PIKE the leader of the pack.

Group 3 - A CONfident, RAD group, skillful and solid as a Rokk, or perhaps a bRock! WWJD? Probably put his money on the BAT-MAN, BRAD ATTWOOD.

Group 4 - These lot have the ability to NUKE the competition, Cocky, Stan-ding ovations everywhere, Stoked to be involved. It's GoT to be the voice of reason KRJ, or perhaps it's time to slip into that TUX, yes...DAVID TUCKER!!

Group 5 - GARETH GARETH GARETH, the people can be heard chanting and Swaffing from their Bed(ford)s. Or will the Woking One finally be unleashed on the masses again? Donald Duck or Lucy the Swede? Return of the JMAC perhaps! Nope, it's got to be DAN WILLIAMS the Retroids Robot!!

Group 6 - This could be a Gessing game! The Monster or the Milkman? Hmmmm, maybe it's Chris PoyntZZ Top! Keef rolling rolling rolling rolling into RRJ and Rojas. Nah, give me the bearded Kate Bush running up that H(am)ILL, NICK HAMILL

Group 8 - Hmmmm, could we see a winner from the final group? Roll the DI-ce on TKMAXX! VINdicated, but can he do it on a rainy night in STOKEs. No way, Roy the wizard is just pretending, there is only one magician in group 8, the Brummy who would never Peacock, SIMON 🦚 🦚 🦚 🦚 PEACOCK (please show up Simon, I couldn't handle a 65 pointer from you)

Love this. Here come the winners:

Group 1 - Tough, there are 3 in this group for me, but can't see beyond Craig Pullen.

Group 2 - If he's on his game it has to be the mighty Big Dave Fowler.

Group 3 - The one, the only Super Brad Atwood.

Group 4 - The voice of Game Of Thrones, the ever brilliant Kate Rothwell Jackson.

Group 5 - Consistently strong, and getting better all the time Lucy Vince.

Group 6 - One of the most resilient players out there Ed Rojas.

Group 7 - The man has been on a massive upwards trajectory, don't rule him out of a high finish Fran Kitching.

Group 8 - Capable of some superb qualifying runs, if it all comes together he can definitely be up there, the dangerous Isaac Granby.

Alright calm down Wordsworth.

Nathan is taking this one down
Big Dave is making the final four
Reece is backing himself (can't have everyone going with Brad!)
George is going to beat his dad for a place in the semis
Lucy will make a deep run
Ed won't struggle on his home turf
Jeremy will cause some upsets
Phil will be there!

Great idea Yuen!
I feel humbled that I've been chosen (Sergio) but maybe you can still change your selection as I will be on crutches, and no nudging for me with a half-healed broken elbow and collar bone. However the underdog may win this time? haha.

Winning team:
Josh
Dan!!
Ian
George
Lucy
Chris
James Aw
Isaac

Thank you
