How about that glass that smokes up when you put a current through it???Just got a quote for 5 bedroom blinds - £9k, £11k if I want em all electric. I can buy a pinball for that ffs

Yes, a few companies do fantastic solutions - appeal blinds, specialist blinds, apollo blinds. All expensive though. Are they coming up with a solution for that Alan? I've got an arched window in my kitchen with no blinds at because I couldn't come up with a decent solution that was neat/invisible when the blind was up.
I looked at it - it's very expensive and it doesn't blackout - so still lets a lot of light in - ok for living rooms and kitchens but not a bedroom - thanks for the suggestion anyway! How about that glass that smokes up when you put a current through it???
Google link, no idea if it's any good

Bloody hell. Even my wife would struggle to pay 11 grand for blinds. That’s an horrendous figure to justify.
Think they are meant to be in a place where you have nobody overlooking you so no need for themHappens when you get big ass windows the size of the gable end installed...
nobody overlooking apart from a field full of cows. but i like in blackout dark, especially at this time of year.Think they are meant to be in a place where you have nobody overlooking you so no need for them
Blinded by the price![]()
4 ordinary windows plus the large trapezium shaped one all on the one bedroomJust checking, that is the cost for blinds for the windows of 5 bedrooms, including that complicated gable end window array?
How many windows openings including that one?
I have a complicated bay which I am scratching my head how to manage with blackouts blinds but maybe not that complicated.
Probably Thomas Sanderson, they’re ridiculous price wiseJust checking, that is the cost for blinds for the windows of 5 bedrooms, including that complicated gable end window array?

Like the Dreamliner windows, no blinds, just dim the glassA few years I was at someone’s posh house that the glass went kinda dark grey at the flick of a switch and I don’t think they were 10k but maybe wrong.
Nowadays Alexa would be the switch for that type of crazy glass.
Like this, not total blackout though as can’t be done yet. For a big window with a view it’s a good option but I wonder what that would cost.Like the Dreamliner windows, no blinds, just dim the glass
I’m on the look out for one of those tennis umpires chair so I can sit there in the garden winding my neighbour up
