Nice list of games, not great prices in my opinion, also you have to buy a mixture of machines and then add on shipping.

Agreed, prcies towards the top end (what you'd expect to pay for HUO or collector quality/looked after) for what are/were routed machines. They will need shopping. The advert is aim at the US (strong Dollar v Euro) and Austrailan (shortage means big prices) markets so these are very affordable in their eyes.

Oh and it's not the first time this adverts been seen and the last suggestion of a group buy (on Yahoo groups) almost decended into a total farce.

At another time I would be very interested. The Wife wants one of these so I have a green light to buy one. If we weren't moving very shortly to a new house that could actually fit this in and that means I won't have the cash for a long time.

FFS, how can you describe the CFTBL playfield as having zero wear and then post a picture clearly showing severe wear at the Snack Bar??!!

It is on the left of the pin shack, no looks better on the right. I don't understand the staging of those pictures. Plus that does look like a little bit of wear on the snack bar doesn't it.
"even the hologram is still mostly green".
But these are all selling techniques, talk the machine up to justify the high prices.

To anyone who doesn't know, we are not talking down the machines here, we are talking down the selling practices. Go visit the machines, make your decision and don't pay a price because ebay or a seller tells you that is what it is worth.

Theres been a few decently priced sales recently:

NBA JAM - Stern = £1676
Austin Powers - Stern = £1500
Playboy - Stern = £1470
Playboy - Stern = £1370
Revenge from mars - Bally = £1400
Road show - Williams = £999
Road show - Williams = £1030
Road show - Williams = £970
Road show - Williams = £1000
Corvette - Bally = £1019
Terminator 2 - Williams = £1000
Terminator 2 - Williams = £970
NBA fastbreak - Williams = £1000
Twister - Sega = £870
Apollo 13 - Sega = £875
Black Rose - Bally = £820
Mario Bros - Gottleib = £774
Tales from the crypt - Data East = £770
Hook - Data East = £702

Black Knight - Williams = £493

My guess would be that each and every one of them would need varying amounts of money, time and effort spending on them but its good to see not all machines are massively overpriced.

Do it Carl. For a first pin it has everything you could want. Very underrated Pat Lawlor game in my book. Loads of depth, varied modes, good bit of humour and both kinds of music.

+1 RS is a great pin for the money. Loads of stuff to do and a cool multiball, although I always thought the country music seemed a bit out of place :)
