Getting blowy around here.... ;)

£900 for one of the worst pinball machines ever made!!!! Apologies if it's someone's on here but.........are you f*cking kidding me  You'd have to give it to me for free and pay my van hire costs for me to take it away........and then I'd burn it with extreme prejudice :D

Really??? Not really played it, however thought that anything would be preferable against a BR (other than a popeye, Bug's birthday bash.....) ;)

Zoom in on the Apron in the last pic......

It was at the last show and I reconised it by the green op sticker on the apron.
Its got a lovery playfield but a shabby cabinet.
Worth the price and like Ivan has already said its a cracking sys 11 game.

You know we always say that there's no such thing as a bad pinball machine, and any pinball is better than none etc.....this is the exception to the rule. All IMHO of course :)

Come on Chris - We all know you're loaded, have plenty of room and loads of time on your hands... ;)

Just in case you missed that...

Space station...Space station...Space station...Space station...Space station...Space station...Space station...Space station...Space station...Space station...Space station...Space station...Space station...Space station...Space station...

;)

Old EMs don't seem to be the fashion around here but if anyone has an eye on this...

I went to see it last night and my not-very-expert opinion is:

Playfield not as good as the photos imply - crazed paint but still bright and no over-worn patches
Backglass very, very good for 47 year old machine. Some small crazed areas but you have to get up close to see them. No peeling
Cabinet pretty bashed as shown but all original and no graffiti
Chrome work OK
Plastics, bumper caps, all present and correct and nice and bright
Played well, fast with strong flippers. Like it says on ipdb - it had good flow.
Some mechanical faults: Eg I noticed hitting one of the bumpers fired two and the ball counter needs an arithmetic lesson.

I think seller was genuine nice guy who didn't realise it had some faults - you can still play a good game on it.

I couldn't decide if I wanted it - it's a bit scruffy compared to my other pins and I've had a belly-full of fixing stuff recently.

But if 60's pins rock your boat I'd say this is a good chance.

My mate will be selling one in the not too distant future. I can't vouch for condition but it is a routed machine and currently on site in Colchester. Not sure of the pub. But it will be fully shopped prior to sale. Location for collection would be Ipswich. I'd estimate about 3-4 months time.
If Simon is shopping the machine, I will vouch for his quality of work.

Chris - Did you play my Space Station at Swavesey last year ?

Yes I did, also played Darren's at the South Coast Slam and The Legends at the UKPP......and every time I'm left asking myself why I haven't bought one yet :)

I love the music on this game :D That LED'd one looks awesome!

Yeah - music is up there with Swords Of Fury for best Sys 11. Perfectly suits the theme. Got the green LEDs in mine - I think I will swap them all at some stage tho. I love mine so much I turned down a quite frankly stupidly high offer for it a while ago. Some days when I'm feeling a bit broke I regret that

Don't think one of these has come up in the last couple of years. Got no feel for what this will go for. I'd guess sub 2k as it's pretty hated* and it's a short running auction but who knows?

*Never played one myself and I'd like to.

One went last week for 1500

Its not *that* bad, especially if you like the films. But the artwork on it looks ****** - that horrible cheap blurry pixellated artwork Stern had at the time, blank inserts, just ....bleugh

One recentely sold up in the North East, think it was Sunderland. Well think it sold and the re-sold if you know what I mean ;) ;) So that makes at least 3 in a couple of months!!

decent price too, and i know the bloke who bought it is on here.
i can't believe i'm saying that £4000 is a decent price, but let's be honest, these hardly ever come up, and i thought it'd have gone for at least 4500
