I have seen them up for sale at 700+ one recently at 1250 but was dropped several times until a sale at much less than a grand.

Having contacted the seller of the one you are interested in just earlier tonight I would advise serious caution.
I don't think its going to be a "restored" machine at all.
Just a touched up tart IMO.

I would think 800 is all of its money but ebay is a funny place.

I am happy to go and look on your behalf over the weekend if you can get something organised. I wouldn't be shocked if the seller made excuses why a viewing isn't possible though.
I don't have a great feeling about it.

Yeah I thought £800 was a bit high as a starter price, which is why I was asking.

I already had some reservations about the listing as I said originally - What put your hackles up about the seller when you spoke to him/ her?

There are plenty of FT around - they were everywhere back in the day. Its not hard to find one so dont go out of yr way for a so so one if the price isn't right or the deal feels wrong. Plenty more fish in the sea.

Sgt Grizz' top tip for the day ;)

<Groan> :-p

In general the sellers contact and attitude wasn't filling me with confidence.
I wouldn't drive a long way or pay for collection without a thorough local viewing first.

I would look elsewhere but I am happy to view it if you can arrange something.

I think I'll pass. Its starting price is a bit high given there's so many warning bells going off about this one for me. I'll rein in my desire to get a table as soon as possible and wait for either a more obviously decent one to come up or, even better, someone on here to sell one of theirs on :)

Thanks very much for the help mate - Much appreciated.

If you wait a week I am sure Wez will be buying back his Fish Tales and once he does it will be back up for sale a week later.

Yeah, listed as not checked even though there is a double socket behind the machine in the first picture.

He says he's a collector of pinball machines so he should at least know how to switch them on

The Time Machine which sold about 6 weeks ago is relisted also.

The advert you link to says about going to visit because of all the machines they've got. I dread to think what kind of prices they'd want to walk away with one of those if they're shilling them so badly on eBay.

'Only selling due to ill health and reduced ability to maintain and enjoy'.

Reduced ability to maintain...! Did they ever maintain them? Now that's a good get-out clause when it turns up with faults....
