I have seen them up for sale at 700+ one recently at 1250 but was dropped several times until a sale at much less than a grand.
Having contacted the seller of the one you are interested in just earlier tonight I would advise serious caution.
I don't think its going to be a "restored" machine at all.
Just a touched up tart IMO.
I would think 800 is all of its money but ebay is a funny place.
I am happy to go and look on your behalf over the weekend if you can get something organised. I wouldn't be shocked if the seller made excuses why a viewing isn't possible though.

Yeah I thought £800 was a bit high as a starter price, which is why I was asking.
I already had some reservations about the listing as I said originally - What put your hackles up about the seller when you spoke to him/ her?
There are plenty of FT around - they were everywhere back in the day. Its not hard to find one so dont go out of yr way for a so so one if the price isn't right or the deal feels wrong. Plenty more fish in the sea.
