Your both forgetting that it's a TAF LE, in fact its a one of a kind with the very rare chair scoop mod.....that's worth £1500 on it's own ;)

Anyone else looking at the Rocky and Bullwinkle Pin that's ending on eBay shortly? Is it anyone on here that's advertising it or has anyone got any views on it?

I'm teetering on the brink as it's one of the few tables i've played in real life and it looks to be in reasonable nick. I don't really have the funds right now but i'm sorely tempted (isn't that always the case?).

The cabinet has (as the advert states) been attacked by a shark but i'm certainly up to the challenge of fixing that and it certainly looks like spares are in reasonable supply, even if it might mean shipping some of them direct from the US.

Thoughts people? Either that or please talk me out of this purchase (that will almost certainly result in 'the look' from my other half).

That used to belong to forum member cooldan. Plays perfectly. Just the cab issue - if it bothers you.

I have massive OCD so would most likely do a restore on the cab.

Sorely tempted. Timing couldn't be worse though as we've just put an order in for a Hot Tub. Hmmmm. Bit of a treck for me too - will be a good 4 hours each way at least.

*nnnnngggggg*

give him a ring on 07810 557744

Matt has the best collection i've ever seen, and is a great guy all round. i traded this (plus cash) for CSI, the Rocky & Bullwinkle was one of my first games and only left me because of my new revolving door policy. loads of fun, great dots, lovely playfield art, really funny callouts.

i fully shopped it and cleaned it all inside and out, so it needs nothing doing except the Nell log is still not working as it should (but i found a possible source in Dave Dutton).

most important bits imo are the playfield and DMD, and these are perfect. for £600 you really can't go wrong with a DMD game like this. go for it dude

Did you never get the Nell log sorted then Dan ?

Been thinking of selling my Rocky & Bullwinkle, really short on space and its a real operation to even move tables about to get at one to work on.

I ve had Rocky for about 4 years and it hasnt missed a beat.

Matt's house is something else, his collection is amazing, and he is the dictionary definition of down to earth. Well worth the trip or get Martin the Delivery Man to collect it for £85.
I saw and played this at CoolDan's. He worked on it and made it clean and shiney before becoming obsessed with CSI and due to his trade policy (known as the revolving door), R&B was swapped.

£85? For Martin to deliver?

Surely not? From what I can see this table is down in Farnborough and i'm all the way ooop North in sunny Lincolnshire. It's a good 8 hour trip there and back i'd say?

never finished the job, no. i bought the motor and the drive belt, but the gears are unobtanium (unless Dave Dutton will sell his spare, he said he would) so i was playing around with meccano gears and whatnot, and got it ohsoclose before i got distracted as Geoff said

great little game

£85 is a flat rate i think, it probably also includes Cornwall to Scotland but for that it's take longer as he'd fit it around other jobs.
Martin is ace. he's coming to mine tomorrow again :)

As said, he collects the machines on one day on his way up (or down), then delivers on another day when he is near yours. He makes his routes up as the requirement arises and you just have to wait a while for it to be delivered. CFTBL was from Newcastle to Watford, IJ was near Wigan to Watford. He was actually in the Scotish borders the day before he then drove to mine for IJ, then on to Dans, out to Southend and then back to Heathrow just to fit in with peoples schedules.
Plus, and most important, Martin is a very friendly bloke, likes to chat so great communication and looks after your machines. :)

A massive thanks to everyone for their advice and support.

Unfortunately after going over the numbers i've decided that i'm going to have to sit this one out - which is a massive disappointment to say the least. Bad timing means that this table has come up two or three weeks too early for me to commit to it; if I did then there's a risk I might not have the funds I need to get the Hot Tub wired in, and I don't even want to think about the wrath of my missus if I fail to keep my end of the bargain up in that respect. ;-)

So looks like I have to let this one go.

Oh, and handy to know about Martin the delivery guy too. I'll be sure to keep him in mind when I finally do manage to grab a Pinball.

So the £9k MM is back on the bay.
Wonder what happened to all the eager people bidding on it a couple of months ago? Is it easier to bid than to actually commit to putting your hand in your pocket?
Does look in lovely condition though

Quote from the ebay ad "In very good condition for age"...

Pictures one and two show the player two and credit displays playing up !!!

The MM that is on the bay now is the one Chris Brim sold for 6k.
Quick 3k profit if it sells. Crazy money for a pinball machine.

Erm, it would appear that i've just bought an 'Adventures of Rocky and Bullwinkle and Friends' Pinball after all.

Whoops. ;-)

So here starts a very expensive hobby. It's lucky we have so little space right now otherwise it would get expensive fast. As it is i'm now planning a house move in the next 2-3 years to accommodate at least 1 or 2 more.....

Isnt' that AFM from the same guy who's flogging the MM at £9k?

Both MM and AFM are lovely tables to play but there's no way i'd stump up that sort of cash.
