TRS has now gone past the 2k mark. Who is it that bids before the end date? Never really understood that logic, surely a bid towards the end is less likely to then to get gazumped. Can see the logic of putting the first bid in to scare off others but why stress when the biddings already started?

Think I'm blinkered by the 5 mins I spent on it at the SCS. Not a fan, but probably never gave it a fair chance, it's got ramps and a DMD surely it can't be that bad....

Played an Elvis a couple of weeks ago and gotta admit it had some positives, so maybe I'm weakening on my anti-music pin stance

I seem to remember that the one at the slam was a very early production mode with a temporary Jagger figure and very early software... plus with the noise of the slam no one would have known how it sounded...!

Actually Gary, I must say I should thank you for pointing out that a lot of people are actually that stupid. Not only is stupidity thinking all 7 pinball machines are 1500 but if you really were that lucky to have stumbled upon the deal of the century you were stupid enough to ask if I'd break them into seperate lots? Only a moron wouldn't snap my hand off at 1500 for all 7. I will on your advice change my ad and point out to the mentally challenged who read it that it clearly isn't for all 7.

Just seen the ad and you're now name checked in it. Nice to see someone advertising with a sense of humor. Big selection of pins, wonder what the story is? Someone getting out of the hobby or upgrading their collection?
 
There was one when i went to pick up my STTNG - The guy sold it £1750 BIN - It was the most immaculate one i had seen.. and everything worked (including the hologram!!)
 
WTF!?!?!?!?! Who the hell would screw a starpost through the pf and cordon off the electric chair scoop in the first place but then what kind of nutter plays it like that for 8 years :eek: At least the chair scoop wear hasn't been getting any worse ;)
 
Amazing, if they played it surely they would have quickly learnt that the game was missing something? You can light mansion modes at the swamp kickout and start multiball at the book case but that is going to be harder for them.
How did the scoop get removed, was it the same person who fitted the rubber or was it some else who felt that the game was ruined a little by the ball going in the chair hole and then rolling about under the table? I guess it would hinder multiball a bit.

I might bid, that could be a fun project. :confused:
 
Cal, step away from the keyboard. you already have a TAF, please don't tell me you're now gonna look for another to cannibalise to build up the best game?
 
Good price for a NIB. I played it in Sydney a couple of years ago and didn't feel it was a particularly good game however
 
toyed with going for it but a) have way too many machines already b) given that it's still in the box, I'd be tempted to keep it that way and resell in 5 years. Not a route I want to go down. Still think it's a good price for someone though. Avatar grew on me last year, so I'd like one in the future

Holy crap. Either it was shilled or someone lost the plot big time.

Oh ...hang on just noticed that he mentioned that he had added 3 NEW Duracell batteries. Boom ...that explains all the interest then....3 new batteries, I dream of just 1 new battery but 3. :rolleyes:
