Ebay Auctions 2017

I have 7 pins i no longer have on my list of wants that i bought 3 years ago or so.
Talking to someone about taking them all in a swap deal .

or on here they will go or ebay :D

some classics too like Maverick, wrestling, hs2 , so ebay may be best place as not a lot of love for Mel or giant haystacks on here :D:D:D

dont think i have put a for sale thread up before for a pin or on ebay always sold through conversations should be interesting

any pointers i should be aware of ?
 
Well I've also just bought a TAF. And of course paid more money than I ever thought I would . All this chat about how the values might be arrived at got me thinking 'is it worth it'?

I remember when Trevor Francis was the first £1m footballer and someone asked him if he was worth it and he just said 'is my house worth £x?'

Which was a fair point I think. I can only look at it one of two ways:

Something is worth it because of it's intrinsic value to you and the enjoyment you get from it
OR
There's a market in which you could readily realise the value

Either way I reckon I'll be alright on this for a while at least!

Exactly it. Have I paid maybe 25% - 30% more than most people would on here for a pin that I "really" want to keep for good? Yep. Could I have saved that money if I waited 1,2 or 3 years? Probably. If we were all going to live forever time wouldn't be an issue but if I want something in a specific time frame, like this year, you can expect to pay a little more. Do I regret not waiting and saving some money, nope. I'm just chuffed I own them. I'm sure you'll be over the moon with your TAF, and rightly so! :)
 
And remember that even if you do "overpay" for a secondhand game by winning an auction, you are still likely to suffer a reduced loss compared to buying a new one should you have to flog it.

When you buy a new game you are funding VAT, importation costs, profit margins .....

The scammer is back on eBay. As always wants you to email them. A question why do they want you to email them? Is thst to hack your email account? Always wondered why this was, if anyone knows
 
I thought it was so he could send you a long email explaining that the game is actually in Russia, he is selling it for his dad, shipping had been arranged with a this party company, needs paying them etc.
Anyway emailed him to see. I'll let you know.

.... I can help you fund it if you want via my rich Nigerian uncle who recently died during a coup and has the money in a trust fund, or a relative in India who is a sole supplier of chemicals to a company in Mumbai and he could help cut out the middle man and supply direct to the manufacturer........or I can sell my Earthshaker which must be worth 7k judging by current eBay prices......

Disclaimer: two of these statements may be scams.........:p
 
Actually emailed him to come and have a look as i live near burton on trent. Suspect I'll get to hear nothing. Or the story about the game being somewhere else.
 
So speaking of Ebay who is 'Devon 020305' on there - always seems to have a lot to sell on? Anyone know him/her and has any experience trading with them ?

Ha-ha Kev, where have you been?

If you're in the South, chances are you could get a decent machine. If not, at your peril.... Just go look at a machine yourself or get someone trusted to check over for you.

No it's Tobin, been selling on and off Ebay for yonks. Good and bad stories that could go on forever.... Plenty on here about him, old news now though.

He can email as many pictures as you ask for and with your abilities Kev there isn't much you couldn't fix even if there was an issue. And Tron is obviously newer with less moving parts so I wouldn't be too hasty in ruling it out. Also I'm sure one of the south coast boys could give it a once over for you mate if paid with the usual currency down the line....beer:thumbs:

I think he is selling more and more modern Sterns the days. @Will maybe if you want someone to eyeball one for you. I won't get involved.
