Buyer sounds like a TOOL
And a cheeky b*stard too by opening the garage door without permission..
I've sold bits n bobs on eBay over the years and to be honest it's not always worth the hassle.
When the time comes for me to buy another pin it will probably be off one of you guys.

Okay, so about a month ago i sold my batman forever on ebay. The guy didn't want to view it before he won as 'it was too far'. Rochdale to Grimsby. I made a sh#t load of videos on showing him it working and how to lift the playfield etc. Spent plenty of time answering his questions. As i was away on holiday the only time he could collect it i had somebody else in the house waiting for him to collect. Had asked the guy if he wanted it preparing for loading and he said he did. So i wrapped this up and put it on a trolley. Bubblewrapped all the legs and made sure everything was in place. Put this into my garage for collection.
He arrived early and nobody was in the house so he let himself into the garage and took the machine. Okay so the garage door was accidental unlocked due to person looking after the house had been in there and not locked it.. first cheek.
He's had it a month and it pops back up on ebay with the same pictures and description in full to what i listed it at.
I get a messege from the guy telling me the bat gun is no longer working and he wants a full refund on the machine. Told him exactly how these machines were before and after he bought it so there was no mistake. He says its on ebay and he hopes it sells for a reasonable price for both our sakes as i will be making up the difference.
Absolute joke.
He's obviously never owned a pin before and if youre not very mechanical minded to get stuck in then you probably shouldn't own one. Not pass the blame onto the previous owner after a month of playing.

So basically you went above and beyond for this guy, and he thanks you by breaking into your property, only owning it a month and then re-listing while attempting to double his money by selling it on Fleabay and then asking you for a full refund as well? What a total scumbag. I'd tell him to stick it and if he wants to pursue it I would file a police report for breaking and entering. He doesn't even have a leg to stand on, the absolute nerve of some people...

Can you put a link to the new sale thread?

I would presume it's this one: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Batman-forever-pinball-machine-/171945370401?hash=item2808be2321

The high score is set by DAZ and it's in Rochdale. Funnily enough the seller doesn't mention the problem he'd reported to Darren. Hmmmmm.......

Interestingly he says the reason for selling is:

Selling because the project this was going to be used for is no longer happening

Original advert: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Batman-forever-pinball-machine-/191656747364?hash=item2c9fa1e164

The cheeky sod even stole nearly the entire advert wording, the pictures and the link to the YouTube video. Naughty naughty.

This is the one.
Hmmm... a project.

Come on this needs to be bid up to the hilt. Everyone have a bid on it... Does anyone have a (0) rated account we can end it on?

Forgot to mention he took my trolley it was on with the pin! This was posted back to me but still found this rather rude. Even weeks after he had owned it i was still being used as a 24 hour customer service. Didn't have a problem with this until i basically recieved threats.

Showing some of the whatsapp videos i sent him. Sent him links to leveling the machine and so on. Think i did as much as i could for him to be fair

Seriously Darren you've done 10x more than most of us would have, especially for a joker like this. I think he's trying to take you for a ride as you've been so helpful he thinks he can screw you further.

Agreed he's playing you for a fool.

I'd just ignore him . No police reports, no removing videos, nothing to escalate the situation, I wouldn't even bother opening his emails or whatever - if he has your phone number, just block him.

Just ignore him and he'll get bored quick enough and go away.

Yeah I agree, people like that you just have to cut off all communication with them.

It's a shame because most ebay buyers are alright, but it's the rare bad ones that make you want to stop selling stuff on there.

On reflection this is probably the best action, as mentioned before there's no point excalating things!

Personally i would be reporting it as theft - Ok he may have won it, however to appear at your house, let himself in the garage, take the pin and your trolley.... Or at the very least trespass....

How did he pay? If not via Paypal he can basically **** off.
If me made of profit on it then I'm assuming he would give you half
What a tool

Distance selling does not work here as he picked if up himself.

He also saw it working when he picked it up, didn't he ;)

You offered no returns yes?

Also don't mention any of this, just answer back with "Fine"

Anyone live near Rochdale that can go see him and advise him not to put holes in his manners?

He states in his message that the machine was sold in fully working condition but broke within 2 weeks of usage, implying that it worked perfectly when he bought it. He doesn't have a leg to stand on. What a tw@t!
