Hi Wayne
Pls can I be added to the list … the waiting list it would appear
Thanks Ian Clarke 🎄👍

Hi, me and a mate are on the wait list. Just asking if everyone is still going that has registered. Would like to attend if possible.
Cheers and happy new year to all 😁.
Garry

Just a quick update.

Attendees are now finalised, (in 2nd post).

Doors open at 11, with competition starting at 12 - prompt.

Format is similar to a traditional Flip Frenzy I have ran in the past (namely after a match Player 1 becomes Player 2 on the same machine, Player 2 joins the back of the queue, and front of the queue becomes Player 1).
The major difference being that once you have played your 25 games, you are finished, it is not time constrained. This is to combat the IFPAs nerfing of the format for WPPRs. Saying that, if you delay your games, or are seen deliberately stalling for a potential favourable match up in the queue, action will be taken :).

There will be a half hour break to allow for lunch to be served and the queues to be rejigged.
Followed by a 4 player PAPA style final on 3 games randomly picked.

If you can't make it, please let me know ASAP to allow catering provisions to be amended.
Anyone needing the address please PM for details.

See you all on Sunday

Just a shameless plug - that if anybody wants to do away with postage charges, I'll have some of my Stern flipper cooling fans available for collection on Sunday. As well as potentially a new product I'm testing. 🤔

Can you take me & my dad off the wait list (Luke & Neil) sorry can’t make it now. Hopefully opens up a few spots for someone.

Does anyone want a Sega circuit board, it works (eventually) but takes about 5 minutes to warm up, which is why I replaced it. Maybe someone with appropriate skills can fix? It's FOC to a good home. From a Baywatch. I can bring it tomorrow if you want it.

Excellent time today. Thanks very much Terry for hosting and sharing a top collection of machines. Thanks Wayne for organising, a day of almost non stop competitive pinball so definitely a good format. And the food spread has set a new high bar, nobody went home hungry that's for sure

What a great day.

Thanks Terry @Telboy for hosting and @Wayne J for arranging and also well played for the win vs Andy @PUP, Nick @mufcmufc and @Garry Sp8 in the final 4. Top drawer.

As usual all games played perfectly, including the beaten up Stellar Wars that tel has made near mint in only a week! @DAD now an expert having been drawn 6 times on it!

Cheers all,

Tim

Just back from a great day @Telboy for the Christmas Cracker. Superb collection of machines (even though every game I played was in the shed). Managed a few games on the newer machines at the end of the day.
Superb host as usual, great spread, and a great, fun day. Congrats to @Wayne J on the win and huge thanks for the organisation of the comp. A fantastic final game on Star Trek for the win.
One final thing, good luck to @PUP at Indisc, we're all behind you Andy 👍

Big thanks to @Telboy for hosting - games held up well, with only a few minor niggles.

The food was definitely plentiful, mainly due to so many people dropping out - some at very short notice.

Congrats to Leo on picking up the Junior trophy, Phoebe for 2nd, and EfIfie for 3rd.

I picked up 1st place in the finals, with wins on both BlackJack & Star Trek. Andy 2nd, Garry 3rd and Nick in 4th.

I'll get the submission in to the IFPA soon, once I figure out how the new £1 fee gets paid

Thanks to Terry for a fun day of pinball and Wayne for organising, very smoothly run as ever. Congrats to Wayne on the win, although missed the final but at least my poor results enabled me to have an eatly bath and get back at a reasonable time for a change!

Curious to see the overal wins/losses count for everyone.

Huge thanks to Terry for opening up his home and fantastic collection of machines for us all to play. A great food spread as well!
Thanks to Wayne for organising the comp, it all ran really smoothly and I really enjoyed it as it wasn’t so frantic.
Well done also Wayne for the win and very best of luck to Andy off on his travels.
Always a pleasure as usual to catch up with the lovely pinball community.
Di and Clive

Christmas Cracker certainly lived up to its name 👍. A fabulous way to kick off Pinball in 2023.
Big thanks to Terry for hosting and sharing his fantastic collection of machines, and putting on such a feast 👍
Big thanks to Wayne for sorting the competition out … thought the format was really good head-2-head makes for some real highlights as well as the occasional shocker … I’ll never Getaway from one of those 🤦‍♂️
Congratulations to Wayne and Leo 🏆🏆👍 and all the other finalists.
Good luck to Andy Foster in the USA 🇺🇸 👍🏆👍

Thoroughly enjoyed Sunday. A big shout out to all that made it possible.
