Beetlejuice. Beetlejuice. Beetlejuice. By Spooky

I felt a great disturbance in the Force, as if millions of Stern Star Wars buyers suddenly cried out in terror and were suddenly silenced.

Looks like the same magnet ball save between the flippers though, which is a bit awkward.

Also does the Sandworm eat the ball, looks like there is a hole in its mouth but didnt see it happen in the video, looks like you would have to bounce the ball in the air some how to get it in there.

I think it was on Alice first. So spooky have that one.

Goldeneye has magnet save between flippers but often doesn't work

Spooky making some pretty and loaded games

Can't wait to see how awesome the ship will be on Goonies

It's not even fair to compare it to a Stern really, aside from the fact they both have flippers and ramps.

In food terms, one is a fast food, mass produced burger and the other is lovingly hand made gourmet triple stacker with unlimited toppings and extra beer battered onion rings.

I'm like Paul, not even considering Stern anymore because everyone else is making grander, more packed and appealing machines full of imagination. It just seems like Spooky, JJP, BOF (possibly Dutch) are all trying to pack as much stuff in their games as possible. I don't think Stern could remotely match everything in Beetlejuice.

I can't even imagine what Spooky will do with one eyed willy's wotsit on their next game. 👁️🍆

A little perspective. Stern sell the cheapest option of some of the top rated games. They have some of the best designers in Gomez and Elwin etc. Their machines are excellent on site because they just keep going. Look at Deadpool, Kong, Bond, Jurassic Park, Godzilla, Jaws, Metallica Remastered. These are class games. Stern are undeniably greedy but they've done some cool stuff in recent times that gets glazed over/taken for granted. A projector and UV kit in Stranger Things. An amazing animatronics T-Rex that eats the ball etc. It's become trendy for the Kaneda types to bash them, great for clicks.

I remember when Guns and Roses got announced and the internet went absolutely berserk over it because it had some drumsticks on it. Months later people viewed that game very differently.

I'm not saying Beetlejuice doesn't look immense, and it's a god-tier theme for me but it's the new shiny thing and we do have a habit of getting carried away. Spooky have some titles that whilst loaded in terms of toys have average layouts and even worse code, naming no names of course. That said, anyone want to sell me their pre-order? 🤣

You forgot the carefully crafted chump bucket on Jaws. That really set the game off.

AND it was on the Pro 🤣

Here's the thing though, that game is awesome no? Theme integration, assets, layout, art, code. But the shark doesn't eat the ball....

Yes, and Stern do put out some great games. The problem is that whilst the competition have been adding things to their games, Stern have been taking things away whilst simultaneously raising prices time and time again.

The result is that Stern games now feel like a bit of a rip off.

Yeah they're buggers no question. Don't buy their LEs I guess

How sure are you....

BOF when showing off Dune people spotted a goonies cabinet there!
They kept sneaking the goonies key into their photos too
