Always assume the manual/schematics are correct.
Get into pinball, it's a really cheap hobby.
Changing bulbs with the machine on!!!
Always change the fuses with with the machine turned on
If a fuse has a low rating change it for a higher one 2a = 20a ect. Of it's a high rating upgrade them to lower ones
There's nothing wrong with that!
Put a hot cup of tea on top of the playfield when Working on it!!!!
Don't worry about turning the machine off to work under the playfield, 50vdc doesn't hurt.
Use longer screws to get a better fixing when screwing up under the playfield !!!

Dodgy kickout? Screw in the PF in front of hole. Sorted.
Leave the balls in the trough when raising the playfield, there's no way they'll fall out and break something.

Find yourself a really expensive Popeye and then buy it.
Feel free to look for stuff on the floor near a pin with a gun launcher, it highly unlikely you will bang your head on the handle when you stand up again.....

No doubt I will try that tomorrow now.
At least my heads used to it now and another bang won't hurt half as much!!! (think that's the way it works)
The scary thing is it's been done, I've seen some of Mr Birds work.
Dont worry about cleaning the playfield when applying Mylar, just stick it over the top.
You can test sling shots and jet bumpers easily by pressing them with your finger - don't worry, it wont hurt.
Dont worry about securing the backbox in the upright position with bolts or the latch - it will make it easier to fold down when you come to sell it.
Leg levellers/feet are an unnecesary expense. Just put old books under the legs to achieve the desired angle.
If you bought a machine without legs, that's fine, just use house bricks on ever corner
If you run out of space in your house, just keep them in the garden - a little rain never hurt anyone!
Dont waste your money on expensive connectors, just solder wires straight to the PCB's
Poor quality photos don't matter when selling pins on eBay, the buyer wont want to see close ups anyway! This builds the suspense when they come to collect it!
If your strapped for space, u can always attach hooks or shelves to the sides of the pinball machine as it's a wasted wall in affect
