Bad pinball advice

When removing anything of the playfield ,you must force the bug#*#s off if thay don't unscrew !!
No need to worry if the plastic breaks !! You can buy new parts anywhere !!!

Don't bother cleaning up the battery corrosion, just replace the worst looking components. The corrosive chemicals won't carry on eating through the PCB for months/years until it is destroyed

Always power up an ebay pin as soon as you unload it from your car.

Never bother to check that the last owner wrapped all the fuses in tin foil

Buy only Gottlieb pins. They are super reliable and maintenance free

Problem child Genesis aka Frank N Pin,is now fine
Ramones has been great too,as has MGOW and BH

So ya spend LOADS doing it up,then eventually all is good - well worth it : )

Start a new tread on Pinball Info called "bad pinball advice" and hope a 'newbie' doesn't take the posts literally and kills him /herself.

Well if we are ressurecting this thread...

Don't bother leveling your games, a pin on a nice slant means the ball is more likely to return to a flipper on a shot that would otherwise be SDTM, making your game much more fun to play because your game will last longer!

Put your hand inside an old EM when it's wired the wrong way around by a previous owner, great for good hand speed control, and reflex when it bites.. :(

Don't worry about the glass sliding out of your game after you remove the lockdown bar, friction will hold the glass in place as you put the lockdown bar down somewhere safe...

When you crawl under a pinball with a 'gun' shooter like Dirty Harry or The Shadow, don't worry at all, you'll never smash yr head into it as you stand up causing you to cry like a baby. Oh no that will never happen.
