Managed to get a full set of New Old stock plastics, a couple where broken in the machine, will change all the plastics that arn't rivited.

Looking much better, mmmmmm shiny metal.......

yuk filthy flipper bats, worse than I thought and faded

The rails where black, well almost, so not a bad result

When you make a stupid mistake and order the wrong 7/16 rings.... I double checked didnt realise there are two :(

PXL_20231002_201816072.jpg

Where can you get Titan rubbers, as imported a load of parts, then remembered @David retro stocks them at Retro arcade

purchased the correct size , some new flipper bats and something else, hoepfully will arrive soon, awaiting also a delivery from Marco

Started with new plastics and bought some sort of Ghostbusters fix kit, supposed to stop the ball jumping over the lanes, and puts a centre post (optional) im going to try it.PXL_20231002_173240682.jpgPXL_20231002_185237002.jpg

I’ve got to be careful Chris, as last time I followed one of your shop logs i ended up buying a LOTR though that shop log was a bit more in-depth (to say the least😂)

lol, well at least it's a great game, imagine following an avatar shop log and then buying.

I'm a bit more experienced now, there no way I would do some of the things I did with LOTR, although to be honest it was in pretty bad shape. Ghostbusters is mainly only dirty, there no salt damage on all the metal. It's also in some ways simpler to work on.

I do have a ton more pictures, but there pretty boring, there not that much to the bottom half of Ghostbusters on the pro.

This one to complete will take some time, I'm working on the playfield first, then collecting more bits for the underneath. I'm leaning towards a total mech rebuild as it's had about 8,000 games 🤣

But will play it in between and time it with work holidays

All plastics cleaned and polished with novus 2 and then novus clean and shine, except the new plastics, only clean and shine.

Bolts and washers cleaned with autosol

Well you can't go wrong with Ghostbusters, personally I think the pro is better, the magnet slings are too unpredictable, Slimer on the pro seems to stop the ball going straight down the middle from launch ( I seem to remember the premium slimer resting place is different, but I might be wrong, Ive only played the premium at chief coffee and it was a while ago) and it's less cluttered.if you tweek the ball saves and settings it's a great game. It's the only game my wife has shown any interest in, as in she will play it, and my youngest and non pinball friends seem to like it.

It is set to a minute ball save, which keeps the 7 year old engaged and the wife not frustrated.

Unlike twighlight zone where my youngest had one go, because it's difficult and set up stock, doesn't want to play it again. Although to be honest twighlight zone is a little tricky and the theme of zero interest to most people

now ghostbusters gets the prestigious award of having the worst least accessible rubbber ive seen...

1. worst rubber.jpg

The big long one under the plastic.

The only way to get to it is to take apart absolutly everything including slimer for ********* sake

2, hate this rubber.jpg

the god damn awful rubber

now I forgot how much I hate pop bumbers, had to get the soldering iron out to get the things apart, the skirts where all chiped and looking rubbish

and then relaised they needed a total rebuild :( a Marco order, I had got skirts and case, however im not putting crap back in for the sake of a couple of days, the whole lot had to be removed to change anyway

reassembling...

Started cleaning plastics ready for the machine

Fed ex didnt turn up today although some bits from retro turned up, just not the second order I actually needed  hoepfully northern Ireland finest postal service 24 hours = 48 at least will turn up tommorow.

The fed ex bits I need desperately, still have the dreaded ramp to dismantle and clean which will take some time and some other bits of plastics, don't think there's much more I can add back into the machine until the bits arrive except the new flipper bats that did turn up today from retro. :)

Delivery arrived lots of different bits, fitted all captive ballls with Silverjet
