hi peeps. i have a healthy collection of pinball and arcade videos / files on my shelves and in my laptop, but i'm seeking extras as i am a saddo obsessive.

these ones in particular i'm after -
Ingenious Minds episode 6 featuring Robert Gagno (used to be in the public domain but got pulled)
High Score - about some dude who spent 36 hours straight playing Missile Command to get the high score. this is available free to watch on Hulu but only if you're in the US or your computer thinks you are
8-bit Generation - does anyone know what happened to this one?

these ones below are all available on the internet for money -
The Video Craze – Where were You in 82?
$10 http://www.vectorinvaderproductions.com/#!venue/galleryPage
Life After Death 3 – Warehouse Raid
$15 at PinballLife or Marcos or BayAreaAmusements or Popbumper
Eg. http://www.pinballlife.com/index.php?p=product&id=1261
The Pinball Collector (mostly EMs)
$15 at http://www.midwestgamingclassic.com/products-page/merchandise/the-pinball-collector-dvd/
History of Pinball
$20 at http://www.historyofpinballdvd.com/
From Bedrooms to Billions
£15 at http://www.frombedroomstobillions.com/shop/digital-copy

$17 at Amazon - http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005FUTCCM
The King of Arcades
$18 at Amazon http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00K6GF8BY

and these ones, my research suggests they are all still in production or otherwise unavailable -
Inside the Dragon's Lair
Shoot Again – the Resurgence of Pinball in the US
Man vs Snake, the Long and Twisted Tale of Nibbler

so here's my questions : has anyone got any of the above they'd be prepared to lend me as a friend?
does anyone who's seen them have any advice for me, like 'waste of time' or 'not as good as xxxx' or 'yes, that one is gonna be out in xxxxx' or 'this one is uber-eccelente, focus on this one'? is anyone perhaps interested in going in with me on a joint purchase (so i buy one and you buy one, and then we lend to each other so we both get 2-for-1) - preferably if there were six of us we could get the lot?

i suppose it's inevitable that this thread may end up a discussion of the best films out there for us no-marks, but that's ok too i guess

oh, and if anyone thinks i'm suggesting anything illegal involving copyright, i'm not. i was just joking.

Me too - the main two Pinball documentaries I recall seeing were 'Special When Lit' and 'Tilt: The Battle to Save Pinball'. Both were amazing.
i agree, both of those are exceptional. i recently learned that apparently the Tilt DVD has 7h of extras on it too, so i will have to seek them out.
oh, and i have video games the movie, but not watched it yet.

Would like to see your collection Dan ( just the pinball and arcade stuff! :D ) but I guess they're too big to upload.

way too big to upload yes, but i can show a screengrab if it won't get me in trouble. maybe i'll show you in pm instead.

Not pinball related but a couple I watched recently that are both available free on the net (although I'm not sure 1 of them is legal so @Paul delete this if you need too)

Free to Play: The Movie - a documentary by Valve about the biggest DOTA 2 tournament in the world and the teams of pro gamers that play in it

Ecstasy of Order: The Tetris Masters - awesome film about the worlds best Tetris players

I have retail version of Tilt. More than happy to loan it out via snail mail. Pm your address if you like. Offer extends to anyone else I 'know' or trust too. And I am quite a trusting person, so PM if you want to find out ;)

Not interested in fighting games? I don't know how you survived growing up but in my area if you couldn't string together a set of kick ass combos on ANY given fighting game you were ridiculed, beaten and handed a tea towel to become 'tea boy' for the rest of the day.

I recently tried to become street fighter 4 master supreme but can barely string together a packet of chicken noodles these days.....:(

Ha ha Russ. Imagine going round your mates, SF2 is on the SNES, he throws you the controller...... You say "ok, what's this, what's the buttons?"

"GET OUT"

LOL. Unfortunately SF2 was considered weak until the turbo edition came out. Chun li's feet were unstoppable.. (unless you happened to be E-Honda).:D

As soon as Killer instinct hit our shores that was it, everyone wanted to do an ultra. Your manhood was then measured by how well you could execute one whilst tap dancing on the face of your hapless opponent.....haha.. Oh the dayz....

Special when lit isn't on your list, Dan?

http://www.specialwhenlitmovie.com/

no, i haven't published a list of what i've got, only what i'm after. i'm a bit wary of publishing a list of what i have because some of it, ahem, may not have been purchased properly. i have a few original discs that i paid for but also a load of files that i gleaned. i can help folk out of course and already have a few pm conversations on the go. SWL is a classic and of course i have that one. Sam Harvey is a legend.

Don't fill up your spare space with pinball stuff Dan, you won't have any space left for porn.

I think that's as long as his section was, they talked about his autism, bought him pinball, realized he was good, put him into competition then at the end went to the docs and they realized the part of the brain normally used to read peoples expressions was being used for sight instead.

That's why when you see him playing, he tends to stare around the middle of the playfield as he can see everywhere at once.
