Your 2025 Pinball Activity

Out: Attack from Mars (temp)
In: Evil Desd

At max capacity now, might have to bite the bullet and shift a couple to change things up later this year.
Had a top weekend at Pinfest and a few visits to Medway (not enough!).

Quiet year for me pin wise as I mainly go out to locations to play

Out - Godzilla premium and ACDC premium

In - Black Knight SOR premium

Hell of a year for me as I only found Pinball in 2024 aged 49. :)

2024 - no purchases - just playing at Tilt and some virtual pinball on Pinball FX & Pinball M.

2025

In
- Blackout
- Jaws Pro (rental)
- Kong Pro
- Mando LE
- Spiderman LE
- Judge Dredd
- Jaws 50th
- Kiss (rental)
- Munsters Premium (rental)

Out
- Jaws Pro

Looking at that list it looks a bit mental from here! :)

Played in my first comp at Tilt & then one at PBR. Played in the final 3 or so league seasons at Tilt.

Also got involved with the Tilt league night crew and we are all working towards getting a club running in Birmingham to keep the pinball dream alive in Brum!

Onward and upward!

P.S. Crazy damn hobby! 🤣

Finally got round to being more active.
Days played probably 360 give or take a day

In: Iron Maiden Pro (Disco version), Elton John platinum

Out: Stranger Things Pro (UV)

Comps / out and about : Retroids, , Preston pinball league. Pinball Heaven show Harry Potter launch, The last Swavesey,

Bit of a mad 2025 for me. I only entered the world of pinball ownership at the beginning of the year and proceeded to speed-run through all these:

In & Out Again:
Cactus Canyon Remake
Jurassic Park Pro
Bond Premium
Star Wars LE
Jaws 50th

In just before Chistmas and still here:
Star Trek The Next Generation
AC/DC Luci (rental)

I might circle back to some of those that have gone again in the future. Cactus Canyon and Bond were particular favourites.

How are yuo finding D&D in a home environment? Me and the kids were super taken with it when we played it at PBR but i REALLY worry that, as it saves progress, it'll be a "once it's done, we're over it" type game... Whereas King Kong is a long player. BUT I much prefered the style, layout and theme of D&D (yes, i know i'm in the minoroty). Basically both are on my list.... but I only have space for 1 more pin...

2025 was the year I got back into pinball. Got an AIQ in February and played the hell out it. Also my first time playing competitively and my first Pinfest. Visited the Dutch Pinball Museum and various locations in Prague.
It's been a great year getting to know folk and playing so many machines that I've never had a chance to before. Big up to all the Scottish contingent for making Sarah and I feel so welcome.

May as well get that pesky wide evil dead out hey - I guess I could take it off your hands, as a favour, obviously! 😉 😂

Slow year 2025

In:
Alice In Wonderland

Out:

space is an issue, and I can’t decide what to sell..
when BJ arrives.. a rethink.. or maybe just fold a couple up..
I was really close to getting an Alice and it was the main reason for my visit to the Dutch pinball museum but it was switched off 😑. How do you like it?

Stunning looking game. I’ve not actually played it much.. with Xmas and all..

Not a deep game, with some modes very shallow.
And the animations need more variation.

But it does need some further code updates, one was released
Just before Xmas but haven’t had a chance to update..

DPX have said that they won’t abandon Alice as it’s their first release and improvements are coming

I am really enjoying it at the moment. however it is a bit hit and miss - some days I love it some days I'm less convinced.

I've tended to enjoy it more by just starting at the beginning each game rather than using the saved feature, because that just becomes a bit like chugging your way through the game and less of a challenge. I did suspect I'd feel like this but wanted to try the save feature in a home environment to see how it panned out.

I love the layout and it does have a variety of features although less than Jaws or King Kong. I do find the modes a bit repetitive and samey.

If I only had room for one pin I would definitely choose Kong over D&D but any pin will lose its appeal in a home environment if it's the only one
