We have a somewhat grubby Twilight Zone that had been sat in a car showroom for some while.

I've not really had time to work on it (or my Alien Poker) over the last year due to having to get used to home edding my Flipper Beast.

I've now got Pi-Bo Wizard here, as well, and have been trying to practice having some time to myself when the kids are, as they are today, not feeling very well or just with grandparents, etc.

Anyway, thought I'd start doing a quick clean and some simple tasks on the TZ and work from there, likely at glacial pace.

First thing was buying a new lockdown bar because I think, at some point, this had some kind of bolt mechanism drilled into it (and the cab).

Some real classic flipper rubbers here. Amazing condition. I also replaced the apron card and did a bit of cleaning with a Novus 1,2 plastic cleaner and some wax.

Not much achieved, but I have a child who keeps bursting into tears because he feels grotty.

Hi Vee,

I've stripped and cleaned a twilight zone before, there easier to work on that what might appear, I would recommend taking the mini playfield out, it's just two bolts and lifts up on a pivot which the far end slots into, be careful of the connector and where you put it down remember there mechs underneath it. You can then get better access to the back end, ramps and gumball machine. Ramps are easy to take out, twighlight zone tend to have cracking on the ramp on the far right.

Good luck, the only real pain is the detection of Powerball in the right place, the eddy boards can be flakey, sometime the CPU board can be the root cause of Powerball issues. An Australian company make an upgraded replacement for the Eddie boards.

To get the ramps out you will need to remove the wire form that spans the table first, pretty easy it slots into the plastic ramp at one end, the other is a bolt over the sling
