WPC reset prevention device/hack thoughts?

CPU board reset can be caused by unstable +5v supply, so this hack is to create a new +5v supply for the cpu board, by putting additional load on the 12v line.

Why not just fix the root cause of the issue (capacitor / bridge / connectors) instead of paying money to possibly cause other problems?

Additionally, have you ever had your DMD controller / sound board or AV board crash (i.e. music stops mid game, or DMD screen freezes) yes if that +5v line is causing the main CPU to reset, it can have the same effect on the other boards in the system too. Now ignoring the crashing, the digital logic IC's found on all the boards DO NOT want to be powered by AC voltage, so if your 5v supply is suffering from high AC ripple then you are damaging ALL of the IC's in your entire pinball machine, so if you have a faulty +5v power supply, YOU NEED TO FIX IT.

Then we have the possibility that the reset is actually being caused by bad RAM, databus buffers, or a bad ASIC socket (or even a bad ASIC which is erroneously watchdogging) and not the +5v supply at all.

So I'm not a fan of this idea
