Wondering if anyone has one of these they are looking to move? Funds are a bit tight at the moment but let me know how much you would be looking for.

Condition wise it should be 'good' with no severe wear if possible please!

Funds are tight, so like why the <insert expletive here> are you buying a pinball?

Because the tightness depends on how much one is asking, i.e. £1400 nope, £600 probably :)

But yes, fair point.

I think you would be very lucky to get something for £600 these days. WC94 pricetag is £1k+ these days :(

May be difficult finding one at that price. Its one of John Popadiuks classics and, imo, plays better than ToM and Totan put together. I'll keep an eye out for ya.

Those ones on ebay no good for you?

Problem with those is as I'm 300 miles away, I'm buying blind.

The one that just went had perished rubbers, was dirty and a credit dot from what I could make out from the blurry pictures.

You do have to accept all of those as standard features if you want a 'cheap' dmd via ebay ;)
amen brother. i was watching the last few minutes tick away on ebay while i chatted to Carl on FB, i think i said something similar: market price is already north of a grand, so if you can get one on ebay for 900-1000 unseen, go for it. sometimes you gotta take a big risk, but in those cases - so long as the game exists - you offset crappy condition against cheap price.

also - Carl, have you asked Matt Vince about his one yet?

Think I had Matt's via Simon via John O...........

Suspect if you pay less than a grand then it's gonna be a little rough around the edges. Mine was less than that earlier this year but it's not exactly mint. Guess it depends on your standards....

Ha so I did I didnt realise id even commented on here b4 doh!

Post Whore! LOL. :p

As far as buying unseen goes, I don't really like to do it either. I will admit to just doing it with a johnny mnemonic from a seller that sold someone on here a very ropey ToM. I didn't want to deal with the guy at first due to the things I heard, but he answered every single question I had to my satisfaction with lots of high res, up close pics. We haggled for a while, and I ended up buying it at a price I was comfortable with. When it arrived, it was exactly how I imagined it to be with no illusions to its operating condition. In short, a good transaction for us both.

Every single Bally/Williams machine I ever had, either had multiple issues when I bought it, or developed them at some point unless I bought semi-minters that already had a shedload of work done (which is rare we all know). You can take it to the bank that any sub 1K WCS out there will be hammered and in need of varying degrees of work amount. Not too hard to get parts for it though. Ramps, the football, and most other PF stuff is readily available so i'd just buy one, expect it to be crap, and enjoy the rebuild.

Did he tell you about the drop target though ?

He did. I obviously thought the worst, adjusted my offer, then agreed on a price. His knowledge is on a basic level so I gave him some slack for that and made my questions a little bit more detailed.

I just rebuilt one on my No fear so I know I can get the parts and can solder a new tip36 on the driver board no problem so its not really an issue. I just really hate pulling out/re-installing driver boards on machines that have that crap swing out lightboard in the backbox. My back just cant take it.
