This problem started yesterday and has progressively gotten worse. It was happening ooccasionally, then every other ball and now this. See video (below) any help / advise appreciated as always.

Lift the playfield and have a good look at the mech and see whats happening. Loose mounting ? Something broken ? Plunger sticking ? Could just need the kicker arm moving ?
I reckon the wire might only just be making contact. Try re soldering
I'd imagine it's an easy fix like the others have mentioned.

I played about with the ball trough and switches and all seems well again but @Spandangler 's point about the wire contact may also be an issue as I recall one of the wires did look a little 'ropey' on the coil so I'll reflow that too. Thanks all!

Started again tonight after my first game.
Resoldere the wires mate and see how you go

Check that the winding of the coil is properly attached to the solder terminals. It can be minutely broken and only working by sparking over the gap.
