That’s all folks

We still have just a few left for those not wanting to miss out on this game please get in touch today to avoid missing out

I get why limiting numbers creates FOMO, but they're seemingly going to miss out on a lot of sales with such a low number.

For me it's the best theme they've released, zero interest in Labyrinth or Dune.

I've also wondered this, I suppose they don't want loads of stock forever like stern. There a fair few manufacturers at the cost of these machines the market is limited, it's not aimed at operators, so that takes out a chunk of the market on the usa.

For me it looks the most interesting of the games they've launched. Labyrinth I've played for a bit, gets a bit boring quickly and you seem to take a bath trying to sell it on. Although most premium games expect to loose £4k.

In the interviews for this they mention these types of game themes are a sidebar to their main IP games, more freedom to be original and keep the factory line moving whilst the next main IP is developed. So restricting the numbers keeps the factory line going and stops them getting overwhelmed with numbers.

The call-outs and music in this game genuinely gives me goosebumps…
Has to be one of the best audio packages in a pin ever.

I really hope some have been bought in the UK now it’s sold out.

Well done BOF!

Same for Evid Dead, why cap production so low. Cap at 2000 would still create fomo but 500? Crazy, leaving money on the table like that!
Then they would be in the same situation as Stern, over producing LEs that tank in value on the secondary market.

Bug at Spooky has said a few times on streams and over on discord that they will be limiting all releases moving forward from ED onwards because they want to give customers the best chance of retaining value should they move one of their games on. From memory his comment included a reference to "learned alot from Scooby and their duel theme releases".

Collectors want a game to hold value and not tank 1000's as soon as they open it. Going back to small numbers recognises what consumers want in the market. Evil Dead is doing nothing but increasing in value due to it's mass demand and limited number.

I'm glad BoF is listening and I personally feel 500 is the sweet spot. Just look at Met Remake LE. That sold out at 500 and also has increased in value.

I personally hope all manufacturers take note and go back to making limited/collectors edition games desirable and rare.

That's great for customers, but all that R&D for a low run doesn't seem great for maximising profits.

How would that work, the development cost can be quite large, it's fine for IP that not massively market. Evil dead is not mass market.

Imagine Godzilla being limited to 500 units!

Great for a certain type of customer 😏, machines would never be on site and become even more expensive than they currently are, start commanding pirates prices, which is only high because hardly any where made

One problem overlooked is if every game is very low runs, when they start to go wrong or the custom bits break on them in the longer term they will not be fixable as the parts wont exist. The reason Adams is still going is because its economical for people to make the spares as there still loads of them.

If there are 100 of games with 500 or less made, I doubt anyone going to take the time to make spares for a handful of customers. Yes I know anything is possible to recreate if you have the money and time, but the average person isn't going
to try and custom make a bit of plastic or mech for stupid money.

It also starts to makes it a very inclusive hobby only for a select few, hording them, watching them continuously increase in value, pins will start to turn into Banksy and then disappear as no new people get to play them or see them 🤣

Godzilla LE should have been limited to 500 units...

Kong LE's sit there collecting dust. Boutiques can quite easily profit on 500 units of a game.

Stern needs to sell thousands to warrant their overhead. But they can do that with the other tiers.

That's true if your only talking about the LE edition then yes restrict away, it's always only a bit of bling anyway which most don't care about. but with the likes of evil dead and this one the reality is no ones really going to get to play it, unless you know Neil who seems to buy everything 😉

Seems a shame to waste a great game, spooky can't compare other games they released because unfortunately most of them have been crap.

It recognises what a percentage of consumers may want. Games holding value or increasing in value being the priority is kinda vulgar to me. We want more people in the hobby having fun, not less.

It is Spooky's philosophy moving forward, Bugs words not mine but they want their customers to be able to sell on their games to buy their newest releases without loosing their ass on their previous Spooky purchase, its a way of them to look after their existing/core customers.

The reality is this hobby is not going to grow until prices come back down, there are some super fans that will buy a pin here and there. Bond 50th, MET, Evil Dead, Rush (yes even Rush) there's probably other titles that have brought someone in for that "one off" purchase, maybe an even smaller percentage of those have brought a second, third pin but they have got the money to do so. The vast majority of people are not paying these prices on a regular basis other than Pinball enthusiasts/collectors.

Totally agree that will become a massive problem when the "whales" die off, there will be no younger people interested because they will never have seen one ☹️

£12k is alot, it's also a lot to get past your partner, that's new kitchen money. (For a normal house 🤭)
