Trying to determine the correct length of stroke on this old EM.
As the flippers are set in the photo, they will only move to horizontal. Getting weak shots. Plunger, links and sleeves replaced.

I suspect either the flipper plunger shaft is too long or the coil end stop is too long (or both!). I'd also check that the EOS switch is not being activated too early.

Another thought is to trim the coil sleeves as they seem to be protruding a fair bit and it could be that the flipper link is hitting that and stopping the flipper movement early (rather than the plunger hitting the end stop).

End stops - I put the shortest ones in.
Plunger - suspicious that these are for a more modern game and that they are too long.
Sleeve - good point there.
Think this flippers have been cobbled with any parts that could be found.
How do I get the info for the correct parts?

The flipper cranks look right, but the links could be the first pattern for the modular flipper, introduced on FirePower. The EoS switches seem to have been 'adjusted' too, by moving the mounting point on the left.

Plus it must take a special kind of muppet to install both lettered 2" flipper paddles upside-down.

hmm, are you sure about this. It does look like horizontal is where they should be? Look at the artwork pattern around the flippers, it is almost like a parking line. The EOS switch has been moved slightly for the left flipper, you can see the old screw holes. Would help to see a picture with the flippers held in. You need another hand for that or a mate to hold the camera :-)
