So I may or may not have caused this problem but either way I need advice.
2 coils on my jurassic park lost world stopped working at the same time.
The bottom turbo bumper and the auto launch.
I followed the Dr.Pinball and both coils fire when I ground the respective transistors.
ruling out a problem with the coils/wiring to the coils.
so I changed out the transistor for the bumper and no change.

What I find weird is that when this first happened I had a quick poke around and they both started working again. Then today the problem is back.

The two coils are in different High current coil groups but do share the same power line .
Any advice welcome.
Thanks

Have you tried reseatting ribbon connectors? Always a good bet for an intermittent problem.

I took the whole board out and put it back it in so I dont think its that.
Its not really intermittent at all.

Actually at one stage I had the PF up and was firing the bumper.
I could hear and feel a small pulse at the coil but it wasnt moving .(its not bound as I can fire it by grounding the transistor)

this is wrecking my head!

Im stumped on this one,
have also found a row of lamps not working in the game but are during tests .
Any body recommend someone I could send the board to for testing/fixing?
It just ****ing me off now

Put the game in test and select repeated firing for the relevant solenoids and wriggle the connector to see if they start firing or not. Remember that there may be a coin door switch to knock out the voltage to the coils and will need to be made.

Thanks moonraker,
Ive tried this and nothing.
I'm going to let it cool off for a few days before I go back at it.

Hey @Urbanledge, is this the same thread that's running on yahoo group which was fixed by reseatting a ribbon connector???

If so I refer you to the 2nd post in this thread

If it's not you then disregard.

Hay
Yes it's me!
I tried again and the ribbon is at fault!
Would wouldn't believe how happy I am!
Thanks to everyone for the help.
