Which LEDs for Sterns?

Ok I've come to the conclusion due to lack of response from stern owners here and my own testing that Sterns are not good with LEDs for inserts ( but fine for GI ). I've tried superbrights, some cheap standard flat tops, some tri LEDs and the " non ghosting " premiums from pinball LED and they all ghost as badly as each other on my RBION. To be fair to David he did warn me that they might not be ghost free on a stern, and they certainly aren't. Admittedly I haven't tried actual cointakers but as far as I know they aren't for sale in the uk so that's a lot of trouble and expense to go to with my confidence very low that they would be any different.

I'm in the middle of a cut over in work - if i make it home later as opposed to silly-o-clock in the morning, then now i have FGY up and running i'll try to put one or two of each "make" in and see how they work :)

HI glad you got hem all sorted. Funny thing was when I first ordered my first batch of 40,000 Leds as a starter order they sent me cointakers invoice by mistake:) Was pretty amusing.

PS. Paul where is the led review sent you them over 9 months ago:)

Hi guys I've tried LED's on my surf 'n' safari and have the ghosting problem :confused: Would a Rom update sort the problem out for me ?

David's superbrights are the best led's i've ever bought, i have installed them in most of the pins i've owned.
There're so good even the Royal Mail keep liberating them....(Thieving B****rds)
 
I've got ghost buster in 7 colours both 44 and 555.

They work fine in Stern's as a guy from N Ireland can confirm as he has them in his LotR.

They do what they say on the tin Non Ghosting , not as cheap as some but you get what you pay for mine will not ghost.
 
Thanks Jon, I will try a few as I've yet to find any that don't ghost in my RBION and I still want to led it.

I should point out ( and apologise to Jon ) that when I mentioned ' the cheapest ones that 1stop sells ' that's just what I meant, that I'd only tried the normal cheapest ones he sells, not an indication of their quality! ( but maybe a bad choice of words! ). Infact I have them fitted in the inserts throughout my indy500 and my RFM and they look great, they just aren't anti ghost LEDs and don't claim to be. Sorry Jon.
