Hi all, just wondering which crimping tool to buy for some molex connectors I’ve just ordered.

They’re off ebay and are 4.2mm ( is that the pitch?) and can accommodate a cable from 18-28 awg.

I’ve never bought or crimped these type of connectors before so need some guidance as there’s ALOT different crimping tools on the market from £?? To £???.

Any help is very much appreciated.

I think the size is 0.165” for the molex mini fit connectors.
When I Google it I can only find expensive ones.

Must admit I’m finding connectors, pins etc very confusing!

These are the connectors, if anyone has used them before.
I’m going to use them for the supply to a arcade monitor.

Ah gotcha Mini-Fit, thought it was for pinball. 4.2mm/0.165" is the recepticle pitch, the female terminals are square but the crimp "ears" look similar to the Standard .093" series. I *think* the tool above would likely work in the larger die but Min-Fit are common so somebody on here may know for sure.

Thanks for the info astyy. I asked on here because there’s a lot of similarities between pinball and arcade.

They’ll be used for 120v.

I’m sick of googling and figured one of you extremely helpful lot will have used them before 🤞
