What would you like to see in 2026?

A template to be used when posting machines for sale.

e.g. Mandatory pics of Back box, back of machine, left side, right side, shooter lane.
With option to post additional pics

Mandatory fields
e.g. Asking price, manufacturer, no. of plays, version (pro, prem LE), location.

Additional section for mods added.

pics added as thumbnails, rather than full pics in main text.

There are a few people who always post really clear FS ads with all of the information you could want, others less so.

Thee could also be a set fee £10 (?) for listing a machine for sale.

A few ideas :)

1)
There have been a few great threads recently that show engagement can be really strong but they can be few and far between... A forum is a discussion board so the very best thing possible would be more things to discuss.

So, maybe a content strategy? That could be as simple as monitoring big news and posting it or figuring out 52 interesting topics and posing one per week. The details need to be figured out but content is the meat and the forum features the dressing so certainly worth a think. The structure is there already with the boards so.... Just an idea.

2) pinball stories

Maybe a community spotlight on people - have found reading people's stories on various threads really interesting.

...

Thanks for running the forum and happy to help however.

Would personally really like to see something like this. A couple of the recent high engagement topics have been good fun (Godzilla isn't that great) etc.

A discord forum I frequent has automatic updates pulling in news topics from other sources, but a more manual system could work well too.

Last year on the front page of Pinside one of our UK members had his story about how he got into pinball etc and it was really interesting.... Maybe a weekly showcase on someone's collection, how they got into the industry or hobby, info on games they restored could work well.

(Admins/mods. If you think this needs a thread on it's own, please set one up. Thanks.) A good idea, I might be looking at. But would owners, and players come to a new event? It would probably be a one day event, with a small amount of tables. I'm thinking maybe 30 maximum.

I would have thought you would be the one setting up a new thread for a new event if you were organising or suggesting it and not the site admins? That just doesnt make any sense.
