Not sure if everyone already knows about this site, but worth a look:

it's dead handy for looking up common parts, in case you need to swap things over, tests etc.

Oh, that is very useful.
I can see me using it to just find out a list of parts for a single machine but also the idea of getting a machine running by scavenging the parts from another one.
