What abrasives do you use in your tumbler.

Hi what abrasives do you all use in your tumblrs for polishing posts screws and hardware?

Some say wet some say dry just seeing what you all find works best.

walnut and a healthy dollop of autosol

Crushed walnut shells and solvo or G3 compound.

it makes a huge difference

Walnut bits. Squirt autosol onto the item that needs polishing.

Walnut, but be aware that over time it loses its power
I know people add stuff to it, but I found that fresh media works just as well

And buy it from a pet shop... reptile bedding. Much cheaper!

There’s also different sizes. Off the top of my head I think I use medium. I made the mistake when I first got my tumbler and used fine

Even with medium you have to pick it out the tops of screws etc but with the fine, I spent a good few days picking it out of every single little part, it’s was horrible
