Date planned for this year is 11/12th of June 2016.
Location is the Heighway Pinball factory in Merthyr Tydfil.
Incorporating the Welsh Pinball Cup on Sunday for DMD Pinballs and the revival of the Welsh Pinball Classic on the Saturday.
Welsh Pinball Party on Saturday evening.

Latest news.

Saturday the 11th will be the revival of The Welsh Classic. This was the event that Dave Rolfe used to run and I used to help with.
All machines used will be pre DMD.
My event, the Welsh Pinball Cup, will be on Sunday. This will now be all DMD machines (due to the others falling into the Classic category).
Finals again will have the winners choice system which I devised last year. (Greg would have won it if I hadn't devised it! )
Plenty more important details to follow.

We will need pin loaners for each day. Paid per day.
There's not enough of us to get a 40 machine comp over two days. So....
Please pm me if you can provide a comp ready machine for one or both days. We will pay £20/day.
Lets get the ball rolling on machine pledges and see how the response goes.

4 months to go and tickets on sale from today.
The blurb....
In the event of cancellation due to lack of support, a full refund will be returned via Paypal.
There will be no "pay on door" so pre-entry is the only option.
Admission will include entry to that days competition.
No concessions sorry.
WPPR points and trophies to 4th place.

With only 3 months to go, this event is cancelled due to lack of support.
Thanks to those who pledged machines. Refunds this week for any tickets purchased.

Any lessons that can be applied to future events ?
 
Machines and tickets.

Add up the outlay for an event - trophies, Electrician + kit, table and chair hire, score system + £40 for each machine (30).
 
This isn't the same as the UKPP is it? I would of been more interested and happy to pledge machines if it wasn't a pure competition event. Its a long way for me to travel just to get knocked out early in the comp and then have nothing to play on!
